Good stuff now he can go ahead and at least lose together with his team, while being suited up instead of on the bench.   !!! Dude hasn't played since game 1 of the playoffs and we think his 15 minute bench debut is gonna save our NBA title odds.

Honestly I'm just hoping for what I've been hoping for all along....he frees up Butler and works that P&R with Bam. Draws some attention. Allows Butler to rest a little on the offensive end. Help him see a few less doubles. I'm not expecting some great Herro performance or even peak Herro performance.

I would agree with you if he was playing starter minutes, unfortunately he is coming off the bench and playing 15 minutes max. In those minutes, he will spend 50% of those minutes 7.5 tucked in a corner as a catch and shoot shooter, that means 3.75 minutes a half in actual pick and roll or in the offense. His involvement in any pick and roll will be so minimal its not gonna to move any needed long enough to help.

If Herro avg 35ppg and lead us to a title from a 3-1 deficit then I'll change my mind about trading him. Anything less and I hope he goes (felt this way the second he got hurt, he gets hurt too much at important times).

Agreed. What do we think Herro will do? Ideally, when healthy, he is exactly what we have needed this series. He’s a guy that can get his own shot, draw the defense, and he isn’t afraid of big moments. His shooting could open it up for Jimmy or the other shooters. Having said that, he hasn’t played in 2 months. When he stinks it up tonight, this fan base will crucify him.

I just want it to come back to Miami. I know if they win game 6, then they will be celebrating on our court, but losing in 6 is more respectable than the gentlemen’s sweep.

I don’t remember what year it was, but you guys remember that game in the playoffs where UD was injured (I think it was against Chicago) and he came back late in the series? His first game back was an emotional type game where he scored like 20 impactful points and kinda boosted everyone’s morale. I guess in theory, Herro’s return could do that.

Really tacky stuff by the medical staff. You wouldn’t clear him for a must win game 4 at home and now just a few days later with the pallbearers in position he is upgraded to questionable - stinks to the high heavens.

Right, at the very least he could have gotten a little bit of run in the first and second half of game 4 without nearly as much pressure and to be more ready for game 5. I'd have to guess Miami feels tonight might be the last game so they'd like to let him have a little bit of run in the Finals. My opinion, I think they held him out longer in hopes of the chemistry carrying them vs talent. Herro's been away from the speed of the game and isn't in game shape, outside of hitting open shots I wouldn't get my hopes up with Herro in this situation.

Although it's not great to lose the Finals, some lesser talent players are being exposed before Miami gives them more money than they should.

Not expecting a win tonight, but regardless, I am so, so proud of this team and what they accomplished this year. It's just Denver's time. They would've smashed any team they faced.

One last observation. Bam is widely considered the 3rd best center in the NBA, behind Jokic and Embiid. Embiid gets calls. Jokic gets calls (and is hardly ever called for defensive fouls). Meanwhile, Bam gets NO calls. I mean like rookie treatment level stuff. What's wrong with this picture?

Hes on the trade block regardless of what happens. The problem is who is willing to bite. awful contract, one of the untradeable contracts in the NBA and the first year of it has not kicked in yet. Should have let him seek an offer sheet to match, we would have matched it at a 40% discount, or let him walk. Bad salary cap management

Which settles him in the middle for blame, where we can say he is doing enough, however Jimmy is doing bad on both ends. Bam was asked to be more aggressive because Jimmy is coming up short in scoring and is failing massively by being a turnover machine and having his most inefficient scoring output ever. We all know what Bam's limitations are, I don't know why people keep pushing him to be something he isn't. I don't think he Bam is not gonna get some burn from the fandom, I just think they understand why its happening. What Jimmy has been struggling with this series is unexplainable unless he is truly hurt in a way were not even aware off apart from his ankle.

Agree, by this time after all the years we should have a clear picture of Bam as a player, he will not magically be a good low post scorer ( which will be very good to get the other team in fould trouble ) his handles are very shaky as well ( another reason why i get confused when posters want him to be agreesive driving to the rim ) this is the main catalystic for a bunch of turnovers. Bam is who he is and will play an important part if we win another chip, but we need another proven scorer to get us to the finish line, we can not rely on bench players to play as starters for a full championship run, it will not happen. The margin of error for the Heat is very small due to the fact Denver can get very easy points by Jokic or his passing to other cutting or open players, all their offensive scheme comes from having a big with such talents. The notion that this team doesnt need size especially on defense is an absurd concept to me, they bring out the GSW ( without stating they had generational shooting talent, not only in Steph but also Clay ) It will always be easier to score 4 feet away from the basket than a contested 3 point shot, we simply do not have offensive advantage Denver has scoring down low.

Feel better?

Why would I ? we are about to lose in the finals again. But definitely looking up to the future.

Not even close, that would be Struss, followed by Vincent, followed by Caleb, Followed by Jimmy, Followed by Lowry, I could go on and on the line is long before it gets to Bam, the only one that is actually bringing it is Bam.

This might’ve actually meant something if we didn’t **** the bed on our homecourt and were at least 2-2 instead of being down 3-1. Season ends tonight

Anyway we could trade him mid series for Thomas Bryant? He’s averaging 0 turnovers per game in these playoffs

Last time Herro played in Denver, he dropped 26/10/5. With only one turnover.

Bam had four turnovers that game.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Lets just get big and trade bam for boban since y’all are crying so much about turnovers and being small.

Too costly for us. We’ll need to add picks to offset that Bloated Bollo contract.

Major hyperbole

23 year old 20 ppg scorer and career 38% volume 3-point shooter who can create his own offense and is locked in on a rookie scale extension for 4 years is so far from untradeable in a league where nearly every team is desperate for more reliable 3 pt shooting.

Watch the contracts that go to comparable players over the next 2 offseasons as the cap continues to rise.
