Keeping Herro out of a Beal deal is more about saving him as an asset to trade for other pieces once you acquire Beal.

My ultimate pipe dream would be getting Beal without Herro and then moving Herro and whatever draft assets left for someone like OG Anunoby. Highly unlikely but it all first depends on how little the HEAT may actually need to give up to WAS with Beal handcuffing them with his no trade clause.

If we dump Duncan will have full access to the non tax payer MLE. Goodbye 18th pick lol

No team with cap space will take Duncan for that pick, you need to be realistically looking at multiple first round draft picks to not get hung up with laughter.

What if we instead of looking at stretching Oladipo look at stretching Duncan, what impact good or bad would that have on our cap situation?

Stretching Duncan could be a little messy. Maybe might be easier dumping Lowry’s deal for a pick since it’s expiring. Maybe a team like the Spurs does this looking for a vet PG to bring the kids along. Saw a report about Spurs wanting Paul. Maybe they settle for Lowry. Maybe not a full dump but something that brings back a player that allows us flexibility to get under the tax to sign our own players and get access to the full MLE while staying under the 2nd apron. If you trade Herro and Robinson for Beal then the Lowry salary dump wheels can be put into place

I still feel like Herro is going to be the prime piece that gets the Wiz deal over the hump. I understand what the Wiz MOD agreed too but i’m not trading Beal unless i have a young two guard like Herro to replace him with.

We'd be living off of Herro's struggles more than his potential if he wasn't included. All depends on how he's perceived by Washington.

Washington doesn’t have much leverage herro is probably the best they are gonna get from anybody

Elite shot blocker Bam and Jimmy can funnel everyone too and he can knock down 3s at a high rate. 6’11 250 with a 7’4 wingspan.

He’s locked in over the next 2 years at $20M a year. Much cheaper than KP or grant.

Would love this if we acquire Beal. What do you think the cost would be. Also let's say we acquire both Beal and Turner I would assume Lowry and Herro are gone. Would it be possible to keep Gabe at that point or he's probably priced out? We're going to need a PG.

I think he’ll be in a great situation in Washington to make it his team. He’s also a Jeff Schwartz client and the plan for the Wiz could be to build with Porzingis(Schwartz client) and Herro. I don’t see the point for the Wiz in dealing for Robinson’s salary and only being compensated with Lowry’s expiring, Jovic, and some draft pick. That seems like highway robbery and enough for another team that Beal might approve of to come in and easily beat that.

If you can get Beal without Herro you send Herro Dipo and a 1st for turner and Buddy. That “should” do it. Yes we can sign Vincent and/or Strus I believe but have to clear money by next summer to avoid the 2nd tax apron. Buddy is $19m expiring so that should do it.

Lowry, Duncan, Jovic future FRP For Beal

Herro, Oladipo for Myles Turner and FRP

How does this sound?

Herro by far is going to be the best talent incoming from and of Beal’s approved teams. Take Herro out of this deal and you leave the door open to getting beat by another team rather easily. Robinson, Lowry, Jovic and pick seems like an absolute joke. Other teams will be banging down the Wiz door.

The struggle with trying to trade for someone like OG after a Beal deal is that OG will be due for a much bigger contract after this next season. It’s almost impossible for Miami to be able to afford such a contract under the cap restraints

Some view Beal's injury history and exorbitant salary as a negative. The kind that kills your franchise. Can Butler and Beal stay healthy enough for the next several years together? It's a gamble really.

Vincent/Pat Bev/Dragic
Beal/Buddy/Cain
Jimmy/Martin/???
Bam/Highsmith/Crowder
Turner/Bryant/Love

Elite 3 level scorer, added size and rim protection that can hit the 3, and a spark plug bench player that can light it up from 3. Can only happen if we keep Herro out of the Beal deal which is doable.

Still not sure I prefer it to dame tbh, especially if we’re not completely gutted of assets after and can add another rotation guy

Celtics could offer a better package with the role players they have and you know JT and Beal are good friends. Heero might be a Wizard this off-season

Luckily that doesn’t really matter because Beal has all the way. Add another 1st to the deal being discussed with Lowry Duncan Jovic and you can still send Herro Dipo and a 1st off somewhere to really revamp the role players around the big 3
