An ethical doubt. If a team immediately accepts a counteroffer you make, are you ethically obligated to close the deal? Or can you ask for more if the other bidder you are negotiating improves his offer?

I would be upset if a team make me an offer and then ask for more after I accepted it. Never happened to me as far I remember.

I'm usually inclined to hold at the original offer. I've had gm's hit me back like "a better offer has come up" and that's fine. I've also had some deals have to be rearranged because we screwed up the math or roster space. So, there are always exceptions. But generally, I get tuned out by attempts to sweeten the pot.
