I get the marketing aspect but does his game help you win when he's not all that efficient and a negative on the defensive end?

He needs to be on a team with a true shot blocker down low. He's very much in the realm of a richer JJ Reddick. They both have the same 6'3 wingspan but Herro is a bit bigger and has more dribbling to his game. Get Herro on a team that can protect him with a player down low and he'll be fine.

Yeah. I still think getting a big man opens up our team so much more. You allow Bam to play the 4 where he can still do more of what he’s good at on defensive end and offensively he dominates almost every 4 in league outside of JJJ and Adams combo.

Herro gets another year and you bring back whoever is cheaper between Strus and Gabe potentially. It’s gotta be Gabe imo. Jovic and Highsmith and Cain should improve.


I dunno I can get over excited by Beal but man a big would really have me salivating.

People need to adjust their expectations in the new cap era. Decent role players get $20 mill these days

The new cap era is pushing max and minimum players, the middle class may start disappearing.

The players association really fleeced the middle class of players.

No, our whole offseason revolves around augmenting the core with whomever becomes available. If you think Miami is only looking at Dame, think again.

Why should I think again when we just witnessed them look at Durant and miss out on literally everything else...

Because we now have actual assets and can trade them for better players than Beal. We did not miss out. I've never understood the fascination with Beal. I would have supported him, but it's such a bad move because of that contract, the limitations of the player, and the number of injuries he's accrued. I don't expect Phoenix to win anything...

What assets exactly do we have?
Expiring contracts?
FRPs that no one wants, because Heat don't tank and they are like #20+ picks?
Tyler Herro on a fair or even bad contract?

None of this gets anything, I'm shocked they decided to low ball and got outbid by a couple 2nd rounders and will just run it back with Butler/Bam + bunch of nobodies. Poor Jimmy, probably his last year and FO failed him again.
