According to this site they have a good number of their own 1st round picks.
The problem is that you can't be without a FRP in consecutive years. So because they don't have their 2025 pick, they can't trade the 2024 or 2026 pick. They could trade this year's pick after/during the draft, and also the 2027 pick.
Not a lot of meat on those bones, certainly not enough for a fair trade.
We could get some pick swaps in there though, I believe you can trade a pick swap for a year after trading a pick. Now we likely would have a worse record but it is something, they also might have a player they can move to another team for a 1st round pick.
Miami's first round picks are encumbered in 2025 & 2026. And because of the Stepian rule, they can't trade their 2027 first. So yeah, the next first round pick they have available is 2028. Yeah, they could arrange a swap of their 2027 first. But guess what, because Olshey was a massive idiot, Porland can't swap any of their first's thru 2028. Unless of course they can arrange a deal with Chicago, either by giving up the 23rd pick, or making a future first unprotected so Chicago lifts the encumbrance
and because Dame can't be traded until 3 weeks after the draft, any trade of 2023 first's is pretty much DOA
but think about that...in order to trade Dame, Portland has to trade away a first round pick before they can trade him. That's insane. Cronin has been trying to move around in stupid boxes Olshey left behind
in any event...the reality is that Miami has really crappy trade assets. You simply can't put lipstick on that pig
