Did Pat laugh this much when he talked about losing when he was under the age of 70? I've not listened to Pat much in recent years, I just remember the old Pat Riley when I was a fan of another team.

But if Scoot is there and you can get Scoot, Simons, Sharpe, 3, 23, and 3-4 more 1sts WHILE getting them to take Duncan’s contract would be too much to pass up.

Scoot
Herro/Simons
Jimmy/Sharpe
Martin

With Lowry, Jovic, 23, 18, + everything else to play with

I mean the trade is not bad, your getting a future Superstar in Scoot.

However you have some drawbacks. You have to re structure, sell it to the fanbase the Jimmy window is closed, trade Jimmy to a contender if he wanted to. You definately have to do the trade on draft day, no way in hell im picking Miller at 3 in exchange for Bam if Hornets take Scoot. You hope Jommy would want out so you get Picks and young players. You have Scoot, Herro, PlayerfromJimmy trade, Jovic, Playerfrom jimmytrade starting.

Is everyone absolutely certain Scoot Henderson isn't Dennis Smith Jr?

Ive watched him play, he isnt. See Dennis Smith Jr videos in college and watch Scoot then come back. Theres a reason Pelicans and others are trying their hardest to get into that pick.

Correct. So it’s on Riley to get him help to get him over the top

Sorry Bam can’t be a real championship scorer or #2 option.

He is closer to Rob Williams than Jayson Tatum

What do yall expect Pat to say? Of course he would love to make a major change but if nothing substantial comes about of course the next option is to run it back.

He's obviously going to talk highly about Herro, due to him either being a center piece in a trade or if he's not traded he'll be a key guy here.

The answers you guys want the most from players/coaches/GMs etc will never come in these interviews and pressers. There's always a fine lime these guys have to balance and that's just the truth to it.

He is tapering expectations, even he doesnt have hope he can turn something around with the assets he has. His teying to make chicken salad with chicken sheet.

Nah, let's not cover for him. We could have had Beal. They didn't want to give WASH enough.

He mentioned getting Butler help with the growth of Bam and Herro.

Ha hah a ha... home court advantage isn't as important as it once was (we're fine with being 5th best or lower).

Subtle moves will be enough! Miami is running it back as a play in team, amazing.

Contradictory no? Want to get him support but while keeping your biggesg eaners in Bam and Herro. What are you gonna get with the crap assets you have. Herro is literally your only Asset good enough to pull the right amount of support. Oh, i get it he means like an MLE minimun player veteran on his last legs. Got it.

I think everyone just needs to take a couple steps away from the computer lol. Nothing Riley says today matters. I remember over the years, he'd said one thing in this press conference, and two weeks later do something else.

Hanging on every word he is saying is absurd lmao

Translation, minimun guys, vets on their last legs. Or a less scrubier version of your scrubs.

Return to Miami Heat
