Bulls had to trade Charles Oakley for Bill Cartwright - and Horace Grant helped - to get out of the ECF.
Thought about the similarities of trading Perk. The difference is that Perk already helped us win a championship and he was traded for a player with potential...we know how that ended.
Smart and this team hasn't won anything (although they act like they have) and lost pretty convincingly in the Finals last year and to a much lesser team this year. Smart as your point simply has flaws that get exposed at the championship level. That and the failure to generate offense when the 3 isn't falling. Trading Smart for Prozingis addresses an immediate need for low post scoring and he can definitely bust a zone D.
That said, we still need a better point guard.
