Bulls had to trade Charles Oakley for Bill Cartwright - and Horace Grant helped - to get out of the ECF.

Thought about the similarities of trading Perk. The difference is that Perk already helped us win a championship and he was traded for a player with potential...we know how that ended.

Smart and this team hasn't won anything (although they act like they have) and lost pretty convincingly in the Finals last year and to a much lesser team this year. Smart as your point simply has flaws that get exposed at the championship level. That and the failure to generate offense when the 3 isn't falling. Trading Smart for Prozingis addresses an immediate need for low post scoring and he can definitely bust a zone D.

That said, we still need a better point guard.

Smart got traded to a very good team, he might even make the Finals...don't feel bad for him.

Yup. Exactly what ajones was saying above. He was right.

Celtics fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

We might move Brogdon or Pritchard in a separate deal. But if we don't, I'm fine with our backcourt as it is.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

So you're telling me Malcolm's injury isn't that bad and we may not have to offload picks just to get rid of him?

Brad is really killing it as GM if you ask me.

I think Marcus was gone anyway. But maybe in a different will-now-never-happen trade.

They really need to figure out this surgery ASAP (if they can) - would not be ideal to start camp and then find out he needs it

People on this board had Brogdon in his casket already! The overreaction on this board is ridiculous! Lmao

Still think he will be moved in another trade.

Trae Young becomes a Celtics then I am no longer a Celtics fan. Don't think I have to worry about that one.

Hunter, Okongwu, draft picks?

I think that's debatable.

Sure, I would have rather traded Brogdon instead of Smart. BUT by trading Smart instead, we got TWO 1st round picks.

It might be a better deal to keep Brogdon and get those 2 1st round picks.

Some numbers from this season:

BPM
Brogdon 2.8
Smart -1

Offensive Rating
Brogdon 122
Smart 111

Defensive Rating
Brogdon 113
Smart 112

TS%
Brogdon 61.5
Smart 53.8

Games Played:
Brogdon 67
Smart 61

Points Per 36 Mins
Brogdon 20.6
Smart 12.9

Jimmy Stewart has gotten nothing right.

He’s not plugged in. He thinks he’s plugged in and then gets shocked when it’s Kristaps. Then gets shocked when it’s smart.

If someone was plugged in they would get a little whiff

I hate this kind of vague "report". If it's so significant, say what it is.
