Durant, without a NTC, managed to force his way to his preferred team without publicly making a fuss.

Considering this recent precedent, I’m compelled to think that Dame to Mia is a real possibility.

It is its just all on Dame to do so. Especially since Portland would prob be willing to cooperate with him even more that Brooklyn did for Durant considering their history together. But Im just not so sure hell see the light and demand it like he needs to do.

PHX controlled all their picks and offered Mikal Bridges + Cam Johnson + Jae Crowder(who turned to 5 2nd rounders). Our package is not as strong as theirs lol. A better comparison is the Houston-Nets Harden trade. Houston did Harden right by sending him to Nets and basically only took back picks. Jarrett Allen and all them Nets players from the Nets got rerouted elsewhere

I don’t see many minutes at the 2 either with Simons, Sharpe, and now Rupert. Why would Dame want to play with such a high profile rookie behind him? I do see a high chance of a trade but I don’t think it will just be us.

Same-ish

If Dame’s serious about contending then I’d say #Hegone

Blazers getting a star for Scoot might be as probable as Heat getting Dame (unless he forces his way here, which doesn’t seem likely)

The appearance on Custer’s Last Stand podcast has generated what you would expect: a ton of speculation, particularly around the two teams he specifically mentioned as ideal landing spots if things don’t work out in Portland and he asks for a trade: the Miami Heat and your Brooklyn Nets.

As he said of the two teams...

“Miami obviously,” said Lillard with a laugh in response to Custer’s question about which team he might like to join in a trade. “Miami is the obvious one and Bam (Adebayo) is my dawg. Bam is my dawg for real. But I think Miami is the obvious one. Brooklyn is another obvious one because Mikal Bridges is my dawg too and both are capable, have capable rosters.”

It’s going to between Miami and BK plain and simple. He clearly stated that he thinks that Miami and BK not just Miami both have capable rosters. It will come down to whom Portland feels gives them the best offer. Very much like last year between the Heat and Suns for Durant. Our name was mentioned but realistically we were never in it.

I agree that it won’t just be us. But I don’t think the IG vid was a coincidence. Likewise us not biting on Beal. Feels like there’s some legit smoke here.

I think for sure subliminally he may be asking for a trade and he definitely should. Lillard and Scoot are just not a fit and it’s not fair to either to start the season on the same roster.

KD was also on a 4yr deal same as Dame and BKN didn't owe anything to KD either so if BKN can work with KD to get him what he wants then POR should for Dame, especially when they just had the #3 pick and picked a future star PG.

Idk but I’ll give Riley a pass if he lands us Dame without giving Bam or Jimmy. It would be the first significant thing he’s done here in a very long time. Back of my mind says he got some inside info that Dame has signaled he wants to come here. Likely Wade again, doing Riley’s dirty business behind the scenes. It’s the only reason imo Pat backed out of the Beal deal. Wade has told him to wait for Dame, and like usual, Pat will get the credit for Wades work. So………on second thought, I don’t think I will be giving him a pass. Riley is a conniving person. Not far from a “cheater” if you will. Remember when we got Shaq, he sent Stan Van Gundy packing faster than we could blink, he’s cut throat, he wanted the glory to himself. If we get Dame, it’s because things are happening behind the scenes, Wades pulling strings, and Riley is listening to his golden goose, like he should. Dames agent is just doming damage control so there are no tampering issues.

I know right? Can't believe they were giving Jimmy or Spo credit for dragging this team to the finals last season when they were both clearly Wade in a mask.

They been doing this forever.

You think the theory of relativity was created by Albert Einstein? Nope that was D-Wade.

Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves? Yeah right, that was obviously D-Wade.

so annoying.. how phx and bkln constantly taking the players we want

you would think they would have no assets for a long time.. but nope. somehow bkln is back to take another star from us, and can outbid us again.

our only move is to be super aggressive on the phones and turn our guys into more draft picks to send to Portland. They don't want Herro? fine, we send Herro somewhere and grab more picks to add to the package

I don’t believe Dame will be fine with this Blazers team. Too many ball dominant guards.
This team won’t win a thing this year. This is the time for him to move on. If it won’t happen soon it won’t happen at all.
It doesn’t seems like he really wants to win he should have asked for a trade by now.
I think we need to move on. His agent wouldn’t release a statement like this if Dame wanted out.

yeah, either that.... or the small chance he does want to come, but is just too worried about looking bad. so might drag this out.
