I’m hoping we can nab Gary Harris. Been wanting this guy for awhile.

If we can somehow keep Grant on the roster and sign Javonte, I think we've got ourselves a bench.

True, but team would br grossly weak at guard. WOuld have to make immediate use of the TPE

White/Pritchard
Brown/Walsh?
Tatum/Hauser
Porzingas/Horford
Timelord/Kornet

I dont trust championship aspirations with the colored names as primary backups.

100% as a fringe 2nd string wing. We had Sam largely in that role but was pining for us to add another wing at the deadline. Would have much rather traded a 2nd for him than Muscala.

Idk if you have to split the TMLE for him, or if he can be had on a minimum but would be happy to have him back.

Splitting the tpmle would actually make it less than a minimum, but javonte for the minimum should be plenty

Oh, right. He’s been around a sneaky long time. Going into his 5th year, so yeah I guess there’s not much of a difference between an MLE split and the minimum for him.

Not that I think there are many interesting targets to preserve that exception for, but hey. I’d still love him back.

Agreed with the first two, but JRich seems like he might not be positioned to get much more than vet min $$. Of course the market might be crazy with relatively few “names” in it.

Huge if true.

That was expected..

Huge if true.

Means Grant will most likely not be a Celtic this season.

I'm not trading Brogdan just for a TPE that they'll never use. If it's a future Toronto 1st and the TPE, then that makes more sense,
but something like the TPE and 2 - 5 Seconds? Forget it. Celtics don't use their TPEs and they are horrible at drafting
Second Rounders.

The last really good, near All Star quality Second Rounder they had, was Dino Radja in 1989...

I’m not sure on the sentiment of Gordon around the league, but he’s a big enough name where you’re probably not wrong.

JRich I think may slip through the cracks and be available for the TMLE. 100% right on Brown, though. No chance there unfortunately.

I think there are probably only really 2-3 realistic MLE guys:

Richardson
Thomas Bryant
Bates-Diop?
T Ross

Minimum guys:
J Green
Pat Bev
DJ Augustine (I’ve just always liked him.)

I vote matching Grant up to 14 million, using the tax MLE, dumping Pritchard's money.. that takes us up to about 195M.

Unload Brogdon for 7M salary or less and you're back under the super-apron. Dyson Daniels?

White/Daniels/Davison
Jaylen/tax MLE
Tatum/Hauser/Walsh
KP/Grant/Blake?
Rob/Al/Luke

If they can extend KP for 3-4 years at a favorable number - like 25-30M - can they stay under the super-apron next year if they've super-maxed Jaylen?

I like what Malcolm brought to the team, but I have to say it's concerning relying on multiple injury-prone players. Him, Zinger, Rob, those 3 are slated to play big roles on the team. Imo I wonder if it would be best to let go of one of them, and since it def won't be Zinger, and Rob is on a decent contract, Malcolm looks to be the odd man out.

I’ve been thinking you move Brogdon’s money to keep Grant. But are there trades to lose Batman and bring back a 4 and a point for Brogdon?

Return to Boston Celtics
