They took him out even before the KAT trade happened.

Ok. Today's the day. Grant S&T..

Hope we get someone good to replace him.

Perhaps a 3 team deal where Grant goes to Indiana, we get Finney-Smith and IND sends assets to Brooklyn.

-IND wants Grant
-Finney-Smith gives us a good player on a reasonable contract who plays a position of greater need
-Nets don't need Finney-Smith with the wing logjam they have (bridges, o'neal, cam johnson, funney-smith, harris)
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Interesting Dame nugget. But he wants to play in the west against Jokic LeBron and a silly stacked suns squad.

Don’t worry, he’s got Draymond coming

Hard to expect too much back in a S&T.

I know its a joke post but, Bruce almost came back home last time he was a FA but decided to stay in Brooklyn on a team most perceived to be a better contending situation. Boston will always be in play with him.

The thing to keep an eye on today is if the Celtics use the Tax Payer MLE. I believe if they use it the Celtics are hard capped at the 2nd apron. I personally think Brad Stevens will do a trade today. Don't think the Celtics use the TP MLE unless they move Brogdon.

Ok, new plan.

-Let Grant Walk. Or do a S&T where we get draft compensation/TPE
-Sign Trey Lyles to TPMLE. Have him play the Grant role
-Warriors losing Divencenzo to the knicks. They were interested in Pritchard before. Plus they lost another shooter (poole) and replaced him with a table setter PG, meaning they have a need for another guard who can shoot. We trade Pritchard to GS for draft compensation or $4 mil TPE
-Now that we saved some money with those above transactions, we go to washington, flip 2 2nd round picks (and Champagnie) for either Delon Wright or Monte Morris. Which one do we want? Give me the one who's a better playmaker. We need playmaking. That's Morris - he's a pesky defender, too.
-Sign Javonte to veteran's minimum. He's Tatum's close friend. He knows our other guys, too. Unselfish player. He'll move the ball, he'll get out in transition so we can play faster, get some easy buckets on the break. Hustle, bring energy, play D, hit the occasional spot up 3.

Starters: Tatum, Brown, KP, White and either rob or al (might actually go Al. I'm just not sure if Rob can handle starter's mins and stay healthy. Yes, Al is 37 but keeps himself in great shape, never gets hurt, LeBron played big mins last season starting at age 38 so I don't see why Al can't start for 1 more year)

Bench: Brogdon, Rob (or Al), Lyles, Morris, Green, Hauser, Kornet, Griffin, JD, Walsh

That's a stacked team, man. Deep, talented. Pieces that fit together. 65 wins and a championship.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Sucks we can’t afford him, it’s like he’s trying to tell us, make it happen.

What. Why would a team give a 35 year old role player $20 mil a year? lol

They have leverage. This isn't a Hayward/Fournier UFA situation.

We have a faux trade deadline 24 hours from now. We still got a full day of action but most deals may come before 6PM.

Well I personally can't get to any twitter feeds. Hoophype's last tweet was 8 hours ago. Twitter must be playing games again.

Brad not doing his job. Didn't even make a decent offer? Cs need a defensive wing that can carry the load when JT and JB sit.

Brown trade??? :D

That extension is a lock. Trade dream is year too early. Maybe two. Brad gonna give this "new core" a chance before it becomes real expensive and if it produces no titles, he shifts to White-Tatum-Porzingis + depth/whatever pieces he gets from JB trade.
