If Miami can remove pick protections from OKC and regain another FRP would help them get tremendously moving forward.

2nd round picks have no restrictions

It’s tied up with least favorable with another team we don’t have it to trade

Yeah but if we trade it they would just get the least favorable like we would have if we kept it.

Damn couldn’t get the pick protections off. Good luck getting that 2024 pick to trade for Dame yeesh

Thought it was two second round picks. I don't think we have the full story yet...

Got it maybe we traded that one then

2 SRP sounds like too much to get off Oladipos expiring which also has value as an expiring itself.

Yeah that's interesting. Maybe Chiang miss typed, or it is just one 2nd but we are sending an additional 2nd to unlock.

They have us by the nuts and they know it. Hopefully we learn the lesson and don't do that again. There isn't a reason in the world why we shouldn't have the ability to remove the protection from that pick if we want to.

I thought so too. It's only 1yr 9.8mil they are absorbing. I'm trying to remember what some of the other cap shedding deals there were in a similar range to us and what it cost them to do that. I can't remember but I feel like it wasn't more than one 2nd.

Edit, Monte Morris to Detroit was 1yr 9.8mil for just one 2nd but I guess because he's a useful player to Detroit so they didn't request extra.

I would have offered every second round pick available to free up the firsts.. maybe they did and got denied regardless.

Atleast Miami has been learning and cleaning upntheir books. Got rid of Deadmon, now Oladipo, didnt operpay Struss and Gabe, did thr right play. Now Lowry isnt as bad anymore coming off the bench next year plus hid a massive expiring. The only bad contracts remaining are Duncans which we havent given up hope will get packaged by the trade dealine and Herro to an extent. I am luckwarm on hid contract itd definately not league worse, if he improves once more this year in either efficiency or defense. That contract will start to look good.

When you're backed into a corner and the other guy knows it, the leverage is all on one side. There aren't many teams that can simply absorb Dipo's contract, and even fewer that can and are willing to do so. That raises the cost. Knowing that we need to dump the salary to avoid the 2nd apron raises the cost. They could have insisted on a 1st, but probably didn't want to wreck relations going forward.

What is this? I'm getting some error on Twitter saying I'm rate limited? Do they block you from using/viewing Twitter if you post too much now or something?

The mobile app is having trouble for everyone. Just use the web browser for the time being.

Selling Dipo with 2 2ndRP isn’t that bad. We got one for strus. Now we’ll see if Dame finally asks out or we can focus on getting a true PG we are so bad at this position right now.

That's what I'm using still giving me errors.

How they gonna let Twitter go down in the middle of FA...

You're being silly. An unbiased poll around the nba would have been 80% in favor of Turner.

Silly is moving your best tradeable asset for a player on the same tier as him. When Jimmy cant get it going is Myles Turner getting you a bucket dummy? The Hardens, Beals and Lillards of the world make infinitely more sense and the FO would only move Herro for one of those guys. You up here talking about Myles Turner, **** a joke.

You don't understand the ***** ball. This is too much nonsense. Herro is never the type to bring what Jimmy brings. There is no way he can fill his lack. No Jimmy no Heat. Turner brings more than just a few simple buckets that Hero brings with the screen. He's sized, elite defender of paint and one of the rarest guys to have a legit shot with those specs. He would instantly solve many problems, especially the problem of staying small of the team. He also has a much more affordable contract than Herro.

Hero-type men are not as valuable as you think. Gsw sent value to send Poole. Phila won't resign with Maxey. Portland eager to trade Simons. Do you think there are many teams for Herro? It would probably have been worth a little more if we hadn't resigned with him, but that's it.

and right now our best tradable asset isn't Herro, it's Caleb Martin.

Huh?? Herro is not a salary dump, Turner is not the caliber player you trade Herro for. Thats a Duncan and pick type move.

Turner has much more value than Herro. I marvel at the way some of you view Herro.

in which league?, realgm invitational? because it's not the NBA
