Not gonna lie. A little disappointing if we're not even going to try to get him.

Then again, Brad is stealth so maybe he's making calls and it's just not being reported.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

They don't? Dame clearly picked Miami and Brooklyn because....I get Miami if you're trying to win but Brooklyn makes no friggin sense under that logic unless if you're trying to be seen

He specifically called out his friends in Bam and Bridges. Miami would also because a contender with him.

Hes also friends with Tatum. Just saying

Have to go after Lillard.

Giving Brown the largest contract in the NBA just to watch him dribble off his foot in another crucial playoff game would be maddening.

And if you can get Dame without giving up Jaylen? Even better. Worry about the rest down the road.

And am I wrong? The Celtics biggest FA signings of all time are Horford Kemba and Hayward. Brooklyn gets whoever, Miami gets whoever and Lakers get whoever. Trade market is different but as far as FAs go its a different world.

Celtics have signed Kemba, Hayward, Horford, and KP specially asked to come here, along with Kyrie wanting to come here.

Literally what free agents have LA/Miami signed that compare the past 5/6 years?

Lebron to LA and Butler to Miami? We've pulled more big time players in the FA market.

Hell we even have an apples to apples comparison. Hayward was recruited by us and Miami and chose us...why? Because of Brad....proving my point that personal relationships are more important today than location, and we still had a hobbled IT on the roster at the time.

All I know is that Tatum and Brown better take this next season seriously because they're being openly snubbed by Lillard right now and they ought to be embarrassed.

He wasn't because the Celtics weren't a contender. But he changed his mind once we traded for Ray Allen.

I'm sure Lillard has good reasons for not wanting to come to Boston. Clearly playing for a contender isn't his priority.

Well it isn't like

Dame - Butler - Bam

isn't a contender in it's own right. And he gets to play with his friends, with a nightlife that all stars want.

He gets everything in MIA.

For Boston he has to make a lot of compromises.

Bam was an all-star last year and so was Butler. KP was an all-star way back in 2018, so unless we are beating a Tyler Herro piece in a trade we'd be trading Jaylen Brown and so he'd be playing with 1 all-star instead of 2 in Boston.

The Heat are just better all around for Dame in just about every way. And at worse a push contender wise. Unless you're telling me we're trading KP to the Trailblazers instead of Jaylen Brown. Then we'd have a better big 3 I'd say than them or one he'd have to bet he can win with as our two pieces would be young and not injury prone as he ages.

If he's choosing the Heat/Nets over the Celtics because of the nightlife, then he's a birdbrain. Boston gives him a much better chance at a championship than Miami (let alone Brooklyn). Of course it'll depend on what the other team gives up for him, but still.
