Have you seen maxey games? Almost every times Miami plays 76ers. Maxey almost always outperformed Tyler herro.

If you wanted to go off statistics numbers: in each of these three games Miami plays 76ers last season:

Tyler herro scores 24points on 7/17 then 11 points on 4/15 then 8 points on 3/13 in these 3 games

Maxey scores 27 on 10/17 then 23 on 8/16 but did not play first game vs Heat

Maxey played less than 30 minutes in each of these games to get these points and Tyler played more than 30 minutes in each of these games to gets his points while this is not the best statistical analysis of a player but this indicates that maxey can produce more points in a such short window than Tyler. I assume we agreed that Miami was a better defensive team than 76ers when they were playing against each others last season? No? If so, Why couldn’t Miami stopped maxey from getting that many points? It’s because maxey is that good.

My understanding is that 76ers aren’t willing to included maxey in the trade for dame, I think 76ers are making the right moves by keeping maxey off the limit because he’s only 22 years old and on cheap contract and due for a bigger contract next summer.

I’ve seen all of Maxeys games against Miami and most of his playoff games. Read the actual flow of the game rather than just seeing Maxey making shots, he FEASTs off open lanes created on the weak side after Embiid (and even Harden) draw the defense. It’s clockwork. When he’s onball he can’t create his offense.

Well, that’s the definition of effective offense plays. He used tools available on the offense to breakdown defenses to produce a point even if he can’t create his offense on ball. Is it your argument that if Herro was on 76ers, he would’ve achieved a better effective offense outcomes given that Harden and Embid draw the defense?

Probably similar. Similar deficiencies too. Maxey is good. So is Herro. Maxey is a more potent weak side slasher. Herro is a more potent midrange killer. Very similar weaknesses and limitations. Maxey doesn’t rebound. They’re similar level players

Seriously, the NBA contract landscape has changed. This new CBA and contracts being given out, herro's contract is normal now.

For comparison, Cameron Johnson on the Nets, he's set to earn 27m next year, exact amount as Herro. But he's older (27) and has way less upside than Herro

I've been saying this all along. Pretty soon you will all see that Duncan Robinson's contract isn't bad either. The cap will continue to increase.

Sure, next summer it'll be close to an expiring since his 5th year isn't fully guaranteed. It only blocked a number of different trades and signings.
