Any major takeaways from Summer League play? I was out somewhat earlier, so I missed the San Antonio - Hornets and OKC - Jazz games. From what I've heard, Brandon Miller had a rough outing. As one who's somewhat higher than most I talk to on Miller as a prospect, I simultaneously acknowledge there are some areas in his game (both micro and macro level) which need to improve sooner than later. What stood out on film for those whom tuned in?

On the other hand, I heard Chet played rather well in his limited minutes. Same question here, where I'm curious what a consensus eye-test feels on his performance / growth.

Oklahoma is winning 50 this year. Don't quote me.
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

Found 'em, thanks 70s :)

Seems to be 17-8 with and 9-10 without, interestingly did 7 games to start the season before sitting out the middle of the season.

Pretty happy about the NYK signing DDV. Solid defensive wing who can shoot 3's and has been on multiple strong cores, including an NBA champion. He can handle the rock to relieve ball pressure. He's 26 years old and has had some leg injuries, but nothing too critical, and he seems like a serious athlete based on what I saw of him last year. He's got the 'Nova chemistry with Brunson and Hart, too.

Sad to see Obi Toppin go. He wasn't great, but he was solid. Worked to become a decent defender and corner 3-point shooter. I wish him well in Indy.

He did kind of fall off in the PS for us but he was a great player and it sucks to see him go. Hope it works out good between y'all and him

Lillard will get traded but I think Philly ends up keeping Harden. There is no deal and Morey is the most stubborn GM in the league when it comes to giving into stars.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I’ll quote you to say I’m taking their over on projected wins as soon as odds are out

Lillard is a beloved player around NBA Circles and Fandom. Now that his agent is reaching out to any potential suitors not named Miami and telling those teams they would be getting a disgruntled Lillard, how does everyone feel about him now?

It does come across as massively hypocritical, but that was the danger of leaning so hard into the "look how loyal I am" persona...

Personally it doesn't really surprise me that someone who was arguably delusional in his loyalty to one party would also have a similarly delusional preference on where he wants play in the future.

Don't hate the player hate the game situation for me

The hypocrisy is sort of funny, but not sure I would care too much unless I was Paul George

Dame's "loyalty" shtick has always been phony. Real loyalty requires both sides to do whatever it takes to make it work together, even if it means the player has to sacrifice money or role. DRob, Timmy, Dirk, etc. are examples of real loyalty.

Dame's definition of loyalty is "always pay me the maximum amount of money I can get and make whatever moves I want you to make or I'm leaving, and if I'm still ringless in my 30s, I'm still leaving." Which is the exact same mentality he criticizes other players for having, except those guys at least have the honesty to not pretend they're being especially loyal by staying with the team that pays them the most.

People should have realized he was a diva early on when he felt entitled to the All-Star Game every year and would whine in public about not getting in.

I don't even think it makes sense to talk about "loyalty" when you're getting paid like that. People just bought into the branding because they wanted to use it as a stick to beat other players with.
