OG is a legit SG.

Brogdon is a PG who can play some SG.

Not a good idea if the only PGs are White and PP.

Banton

Hard to rely on an unproven guy if the Cs are in another Game 7 situation in the playoffs.

Idk . I think White, Brown, Tatum, Williams, Porzingas is a hell of a good starting 5….is there a better one in the league? Denver maybe.

Horford, Brogdan, Brissett make a pretty good rotation…maybe Pritchard is in there too

Banton, Hauser, Walsh, Davison, Kornet give some pretty decent depth and talent.

Maybe another shoe drops but if not I’m ok.

Can't ask for top of the line players but then complain that we're losing depth. That is just how it is in this economy. You want Porzingis and extend Brown to his supermax/near-supermax? Grant and Smart are the cost of doing that. Joe will really just need to coach up the scrubbies we acquire for that bench.

Good luck to teams trying to score on the Cs inside the paint with KP and Rob in the paint.

The Cs improved the interior defense and got another good rebounder in KP.

Defense should not be an issue for the 2023-24 season.

We lost one of our best perimeter defenders in smart and one of our big bangers in Grant

I'm not saying the Celtics are completely done.

Yeah, minor moves are still in play, but what I'm saying is the Celtics are done making big moves.

The Jaylen Brown trade is just not happening.

And the Celtics are better off keeping Brogdon.

As of right now, our top 5 are probably the best top 5 in the league (Tatum, Brown, Porzingis, White and Brogdon).

After that, it gets scary. You have an aging Al who can be effective playing 20 minutes a night. PP has to step up. Hauser is a good fit. Brissett is solid. Walsh should be solid in the second half of the season.

We need another PF/C who is a vet and brings defense, toughness and durability. A wing you can score and defend would be nice too.

With the amount of shooting and shot creation that we have in our top 8 the depth just needs to not get in our top guys way.

Derrick White is more than capable of filling in for Smart.

And KP replacing Grant is an upgrade, on offense and defense.

I feel like this board always acts like everything means there's another major show to drop. I just don't see it. I doubt Brad traded #25 for all those 2nds because he has some master plan lined up. I think he just liked the value of taking a ton of cracks at a good player vs. 1. And I don't think they let go of Grant because of some master plan. I think his salary was too much with the tax on it for a 8th man and a few 2nds was as good value as you could hope for in a S&T while taking no salary back since they want to duck the 2nd apron.

Maybe I'm wrong, but these just seem like mundane moves for the best value they could get.
