Anything is possible. I say let's go for it! Nothing to lose at this point.

A small part of me thinks Lillard is putting on a huge show since he is shy about being accused of joining a super team in Boston, so it's a sort of reverse psychology "I really didn't want to come here!!!"

A much bigger part thinks Lillard isn't coming here ever and that Felger is just repulsive and never wants to see him in any capacity ever.

Brogdon, Pritchard, Kormet, Champagnie, all the picks for SGA.

I’ll still refresh and refresh but most likely this is it for any true juice in the offseason. Dame will go to Miami and Boston will agree to a deal with Brown.

There’s more than a couple teams in the NBA that I don’t think will work, I think they’ll find that out and we will get a packed trade deadline.

How many more ways do they have to say it? And how many more reporters do they have to use? LOL we get it, you want Miami. And any FO that has balls shouldn't care. If you think Dame makes your team better, trade for him despite these empty threats. And if I'm Portland, still take the best deal even if it's not from Miami, especially if it's not from Miami (go be petty!).

At some point teams need regain the leverage in these situations or it is going to continue to happen.

If the league let's Lillard do this, what would stop every other player from doing the same thing?

Romeo's cap hold was $17 million. SA renouncing gives them $8-11 million in cap space. Looks like the Spurs getting ready to do another trade.

If Dame gets traded somewhere else he is gonna deny all these leaks and claim they didn't come from him. He will then proceed to play basketball because duh.

If Lillard doesn't report, at what point could Boston just void the contract and reclaim the cap space? It's clearly a breach by Lillard. Maybe then Lillard can go to Miami for the taxpayer MLE.

Definitely can serve as a facilitator for a Dame trade.

That’s not how it works; you can not pay him but it won’t clear cap space. He’ll probably also just fake an injury. See Ben Simmons in Philly but imagine it done more competently

Demand a physical by a third party medical team. If the contract is void it should clear cap space. The payment obligation no longer exists. And in this case, I would expect 29 owners to support the team attempting to void the contract.

I feel like his vague Tweets from last night were already doing this. Honestly I felt like that was a sign he might be close to getting traded to somewhere other than Miami, or at the very least him realizing his chances of going to Miami aren't good even if nobody else is close to a deal yet either. Also the very real chance none of it meant a thing and it's just more NBA off-season drama.

Raise your hand if you think Dame actually wouldn't report to camp for any team that was better than Portland has been. Personally, I think it's just major posturing and he wouldn't actually refuse to go to camp for us or most anyone else.

I mostly agree with Holley here. It’s hard not to take it ‘personally’ but to me it is clear that Dame wants 1. Miami and then 2. Portland. The only reason it seems so anti-Boston is because his camp knows we are the biggest ‘threat’ and we keep being brought up. If Brooklyn was brought up every 2 seconds, they might be laughing too, who knows.

All the backlash he is getting for being ‘loyal’ is ignoring the fact that he probably still wants to stay in Portland if he can’t get to Miami, just IMO. That’s probably why everything is appearing to come out so 0 or 1 from his camp. He seems to only want to leave Portland if it is for a perfect situation, whether that is personal, professional, weather, who knows. His priority is clearly not 100% championship. It’s probably a mix of several things including a championship. If he is best friends with Bam or whoever + Miami’s weather is obviously 10x better in the winter, there isn’t much you can do. It’s less about Boston and more about Miami.

OKC renounced the rights to Saric but not Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. Guess they're keeping JRE and letting Saric go.

If I'm Boston, I'm taking a long, hard look at scooping up Saric if we can get him for the minimum. Get Saric or Bazley for a big. And Terrence Davis for a guard/wing.

Then probably waive Champagnie - unless he really shows out in summer league..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
