These self serving spineless rats set our franchises reputation back 20 years with there crap.
For anyone who wasnt there. The entire nba players union watched a couple of soft bellied suburban white boys verbally abuse and bully our franchise player for easily 2 years straight.
Our management was non existent.
It took 10 years of humiliation, a half decade of ddr and lowry grinding and not blinking and a decade of masai putting everyone around him first, before himself (opposite of these “journalists”) to fix our reputation to any degree.
Trust me, masai got fred overpaid by easily 33%. The whole league sees this.
Masai is still playing that 4d chess. Believe in his spirit and will and the results will follow.
Fire feschuk, not masai.
Dudes a world class leader with a 20+ year elite resume. And im not talking world class at sports management. Im talking any aptitude.
This is like the knicks owner in the 90s wanting to fire pat riley in his prime. “Are you really this stupid and arrogant?”
Just nope.

Masai still has another 5 years as far as I'm concerned.
I would fire Bobby before even thinking of Masai.

Feschuk and Smith should not be compared… not because one is necessarily better than the other but because they have different jobs:
Smith is the beat reporter and it comes with the territory that he will gloss over things more and not be quite as critical even when it’s deserved. He has to deal with the players, coaches and staff every day and relationships are paramount to him being able to do his job. And if he can’t do it, then he won’t have one.
Feschuk is a columnist whose job is simply espousing his own opinions on things. He doesn’t have to necessarily fact check anything, doesn’t have to ask anyone any tough questions and probably rarely has to face those he is critical of.
Feschuk didn’t say anything that hasn’t been written here. This is just another guy’s opinion and nothing more.

LOL Feschuk is maybe the media member you should listen to the least.

Let's say that again! and having Masai is much bigger than sports now. The delusional ones have just not been paying attention. ..We all know about Edward Rogers ..

How unexpected. All the reflexive haters on this board support Feschuk. All the reasonable, informed and information imparting board members despise Feschuk.

You guys can disapprove of decisions made by Masai all you want, act like there have been '5 years of mistakes' + ignoring the levels of luck that plays out in sports... But mark my words, as an OG 95 raps fan, if MLSE ever decides to fire Masai, we will tail spin down the toilet bowl.
If MLSE fires Masai, it'll be because we were already spinning down the toilet bowl.
Like when Ed Rogers didnt want to resign Masai after we won the chip because he's a racist piece of ****? Ok bud.

I agree with your post, but I did smirk at this part

Thank you Dave, real reporter that can hold sports figures in this city accountable. Sportsnet/tsn reporters can't be trusted to be critical of their corp overlord's golden goose

Social context.
Entitled suburban rhymes with bunt.
Nba players are big black alpha’s of differing social upbringings.
In their geo social political pecking order, vc is top of the food chain in every way - upbringing, education, character, talent, athleticism, swag, social skills, it goes on and on. Hes an alpha among alphas.
The pen is mightier than the sword.
Aaaaaaand
Feschuk and smith are soft bellied spineless entitled self serving territorial suburban c@nts that melt in the sun.
They verbally abused and bullied vc’s ass for 2 years. Mutumbo and the rest of the union saw this and said “toronto….NOOoooo NOooo!”
Try to connect the dots. We let the weakest bring down the best and brightest with mean girl tactics.
Now lets go back to these chocolate alphas upbringings and perspective.
Im talking american systemic racism.
The first introduction to toronto the nba got was this crap.
They literally thought we were Alabama in the snow— i promise you this is 100% true.
20 years. Feschuk and smith set our reputation back 20 freaking years.
“What do you mean black people get normal mortgages in toronto?” “Ya man, no hidden clauses or anything, we all get ripped off the same!”
“….really?”
“Ya dog, we even got shawarma and our white collar executives are really just white collars. Our best snd brightest come in every shade of beige and brown, not just pastey”.
“Daaaaaamn!”
You have no idea the positive impact ddr and lowry had on our city and franchise’s reputation.
They broke down barriers we dont see.
