Re: Dave Feschuk : Masai is on the clock
There’s constructive criticism, and then there’s Feschuk’s manufactured negativity. He’s the type of person that would nitpick Jordan for not sharing the ball enough at Jordan’s peak. We all know people like that in real life. I try to stay the F away from them. He tries hard to be cool but come off like a whiny jerk. Im surprised his angle hasn’t worn out everyone.

Toronto has always has the worst writers.. and he tops the list... puck head who knew nothing about basketball spouting his bs...
Steve Simmons was the worst. He openly hoped for the failure of the franchise in its early days.
Yep.. puck heada who not only knew nothing about basketball, but did everything to undermine the franchise... both total losers.

Nowadays I consider Woj and Shams reporters, Zach Lowe and Blake Murphy analysts. Dave doesn’t break news, and he doesn’t really do a good job analyzing games/players. All he does is provide negativity on the team that we root for. I don’t think he deserves your praise.

Doug Smith, you could learn a little from Dave, quite frankly I’m not sure how you have a job, Dave IMO should be the leading sports journalist in Toronto

Masai must be fired if he loses anymore talent with nothing in return, what happened five years ago is no longer valid
All excellent points, only Masai fanboys not agreeing. The deadline was a mess, Masai just lies and says he will make moves in the offseason and then does nothing. Most likely will resign his teddy bear Siakam and that will directly effect the development of Barnes. Only way things change if local media just keeps on crapping on Masai. As we found out from Gary Trent JR, Siakam was not even made available at the deadline and it was Siakam who pushed for that stupid Poeltl trade so the team could make the playoffs and he could secure an All NBA selection.
Will Masai grow a spine and trade Siakam?

The fact that this dude crawled out from under is bridge means he smells blood in the water with Masai and Bobby. Especially if LT sells his shares.

It just shows how biased you actually are.

This team has missed the playoffs 2 out of last 3 seasons, 3 pending major UFAs, losing assets for nothing, etc. Nobody has to manufacture anything negative, the team provides enough on its own.

Not really, only if Masai never had some fanboys that defend all moves or lack of moves including his poop the bed trade deadline and if Siakam was not Masai's teddybear he refuses to let go of. Basically many fans including myself believe he is too emotionally attached with Siakam to trade him, so he just asks for crazy returns
That is how I see it and maybe just maybe your a little sensitive to this post for obvious reasons

89 - 75 record last 2 years. Rising star in Scottie Barnes, solid starting lineup with Barnes, Siakam, Trent Jr, Anunoby and Poeltl, improved bench with Schroeder, McDaniels, Achiuwa, Boucher, Dick. Full summer ahead to add to the lineup. Nothing but blue skies ahead.

Naw, just some of us believe that the GM who has given us:
A CHAMPIONSHIP
2nd most wins in NBA last decade
4th most playoff wins the last decade
Only 1 sub .500 year the last decade.....the Florida Covid year
....deserves a little rope. But hey, maybe it's because I was a fan when our GM was God awful.
Reminder, the 12 pre-Musai years, we had ONE season better than 42-40. I will take more MU years thank you.

When a manager has no plan or is stalling, they love to throw out "we're evaluating the options". Basically, everyone in the business world knows that.
In sports, its the recent past that matters. The roster has changed completely in the interim period.

Feschuk did this with the Jays. Similar to Simmons, he knew nothing about the sport, he was just there to instigate.
He knows even less about hoops.

Well if your paying attention, plenty of those wins came from players that Colangelo brought in including JV/DD and Lowry. Yes Lowry who Masai was going to trade for a bag of garbage to the Knicks because he was not his guy. Have made some good moves and some duds
Like trading a first last season for the corpse of Thad Young, or having to give the Nets a 1st and 2nd rebounder to east that bloated contract he gave Carroll. How about screwing the team by trading a first next season with only top 6 protection for Poeltl. Plenty of dumb decisions and had Houston not jumped in with some crazy offer, almost certain Masai is resigning Fred,
He is arrogant and just makes up crap and says things that he never does later. Sounds great for fanboys at the time and then everyone is just waiting for something that never happens.
I THINK MASAI IS THE NEW DOC RIVERS OF EXECUTIVES, ONE TITlE AND LOADS OF TALK LATER

Based on their transactions, they don't value shot creation at all. In a league that promotes offense, that's a strategic error.

Before winning his chip there was a huge narrative that Jordan's play wasn't winning play and that he needed to change his play to be less selfish. I don't know that he ever really did that too much, but I guess he had the ball in his hands less in the triangle, and the narrative was that was what was needed to facilitate winning basketball, but Jordan controlling the ball and winning chips outside of the triangle was never a thing, so maybe it was a true narrative afterall. I'd say more like unknown.
Anyways I hate Feschuck, I was annoyed my dad's bball knowledge was coming from Feschuck or Doug Smith for a while ha.

Let's playin for 9th!

You are do blinded by his mistakes you refuse to see what he HAS done.
But you do you. No one can convince you otherwise. MU is not infallible and no one should ever suggest otherwise. But again, a 'SHIP, top 2 in wins, top 4 in playoff wins. He has EARNED rope.
