Here's an idea mods may want to run past Howard ... instead of outright banning people who can't get along, enable mods to ban them from viewing each other's posts. I don't know if the board software allows it, but it would save you guys a ton of headaches without continuing to thin out activity.

Everyone has the power to Add Foe. They can add users to it in order to not see their posts. Problem is when the foe in question is quoted, the post can be still be seen by those that want to ignore the foe's posts.

All you have to do is click someone's username and select "Add Foe". Done.

The foe list does nothing if it says

“Blank posted. Click here to display post”

You should literally not be able to see anything like if they don’t exist.

Personally I want Dame and Jimmy to miss 20 or so games a piece and to play 30-32 minutes a night. I want them well rested for the playoffs and to try and extend their longevity over the life of their contracts the best we can. As long as they’re locked in and take care of business we should be able to snag a top 3 seed despite this

That's why other teams aren't offering the entire farm for him, and it's why we shouldn't mortgage our entire future for him either.

A very good player, but small, getting old, on a MASSIVE guaranteed contract. That's the full picture here.

We want him, but you can't act desperate under these circumstances.

The truth is most of us are guilty of the same crime we assign to Cronin :

We overestimate the objective value of 33YO Lilard on his current contract.

Lilard is a great scorer, he's also tough and likable.

He's also a 33YO tiny guard owed 200+ Mil$ until he's 36 YO, after missing a lot of time in recent years and being a minus defender even now before his decline worsens.

Simply put - there are dozens, yes dozens of higher value contract in the NBA.

That's why other teams aren't offering the entire farm for him, and it's why we shouldn't mortgage our entire future for him either.

That would be best for Cronin. At that point Dame would have no choice but to open up more options to work out a trade. For Cronin all options are better than being forced to negotiate with only one team and with a gun to his head.

I think this is too much....I want Dame don't get me wrong, but at THIS price? We're coming off a Finals, we ain't desperate.

You guys seriously need to think about this stuff. Why in the world would Miami move on when they have a superstar that is putting their neck out and demanding to only be traded to your team. Why would you drop out of talks and basically push Dame to add more teams to his list. You shoot yourself in the foot the moment you do that.

Miami has time on their side here with how everything is going. There's no reason to drop out of talks.
