Here's an idea mods may want to run past Howard ... instead of outright banning people who can't get along, enable mods to ban them from viewing each other's posts. I don't know if the board software allows it, but it would save you guys a ton of headaches without continuing to thin out activity.

Everyone has the power to Add Foe. They can add users to it in order to not see their posts. Problem is when the foe in question is quoted, the post can be still be seen by those that want to ignore the foe's posts.

All you have to do is click someone's username and select "Add Foe". Done.

The foe list does nothing if it says

“Blank posted. Click here to display post”

You should literally not be able to see anything like if they don’t exist.

That's a bit much. Just don't click. I'm sure you have the restraint for it. I've never used it.

The truth is most of us are guilty of the same crime we assign to Cronin :

We overestimate the objective value of 33YO Lilard on his current contract.

Lilard is a great scorer, he's also tough and likable.

He's also a 33YO tiny guard owed 200+ Mil$ until he's 36 YO, after missing a lot of time in recent years and being a minus defender even now before his decline worsens.

Simply put - there are dozens, yes dozens of higher value contract in the NBA.

That's why other teams aren't offering the entire farm for him, and it's why we shouldn't mortgage our entire future for him either.

A very good player, but small, getting old, on a MASSIVE guaranteed contract. That's the full picture here.

We want him, but you can't act desperate under these circumstances.

Dame is 6'2; taller than Donovan Mitchell and the same height as Steph, Scoot, Ja, and an inch shorter than WB. Not sure if it's call him tiny. Does he get bullied around?

Dame is not coming. Move on. This drama is like when Kobe Bryant demanded to be traded to Miami and nothing materialized.

Without looking it up, I think It was around the time after Heat won the championship in 2006. Kobe was fed up with the lakers because they were not actively looking to improve the roster about that year and ultimately demanded a trade to Miami or Chicago . The only possible way for Miami to make such a trade was to give up Wade and Riley said no so nothing materialized. Just like Dame demanded a trade to Miami or Brooklyn. The only way to incentivize Blazers to take up on Heat offers for Dame right now is to give up Bam. That’s something Heat doesn’t want to do or maybe sell the farms for a guy that’s 33 years old on a $55 mil annual salary. Pray that he doesn’t end up with a bad knee in the second years here in Miami because that contract is brutal.

I suggest looking it up, becasue I really don’t remember anything with Kobe wanting Miami.

I remember the Chicago trade request that didn’t happen becasue Kobe wanted to play with Deng and Chicago would’ve had to trade him for Kobe.

I've already said this before but people can keep attacking our fans for the franchise lowballing Portland but that doesn't change the fact that Miami doesn't need to give Portland a desperate package when they are bidding against themselves. It's just not smart business.

Agreed. Kobe only requested a trade one time and it was to Chicago. He even said that they were looking for homes In Chicago. Once that became his team without Shaq, he never requested a trade.

There was a period of time that Kobe was upset because someone in the Lakers said that Kobe was responsible for Shaq being traded, which Kobe denied. I think it was either a fire that person or I’ll request a trade ultimatum. I don’t think he ever actually requested one.

In short:
- Cronin doing a good job operating in best interest of Blazers
- Maybe Cronin believes his words when he says them, but his track record backs his actions deviating substantially from his words to Dame and to the public
- In Cronin's recent trade history, he has gotten Blazers players to teams that they would like to join (McCollum & Hart)
- Host strongly believes Dame will end up in Miami and doesn't buy that it will be "months"

Again, there's been an abundance of misinformation & speculation. Nobody knows the real truth of transactions & communications. Miami do a great job of keeping things to themselves & let the world guess. Why i don't understand the early Lillard slander & current disrespect of Portland/Cronin org.

I've seen it the same way frm the vid that Blazers are wanting to get Lillard to his preferred destination but would like to be compensated for a once in a lifetime generational player, such as Lillard, to benefit the future of Portland. I see nothing wrong with this as we would do the same. Miami never had the assets, Miami are just extremely lucky Dame wants us & nobody else.

So we're in that current process to provide Portland the exchange that will satisfy them no matter how long it takes. But i do believe Lillard will end up landing here. It all depends when.

So any frustration from Heat fans is your own undertaking. Go live life, be patient....the situation doesn't have to bother you.

I've done the right thing but still see frm posters like this who continue to act butt hurt all over the forum for something that may not have even been directed at him but felt the need to react.
