So another center, eh?

This offseason reminds me of Chip Kelly's offseasons for the Eagles. Every move he made that didn't make a lot of sense it was "He has a plan... just give it time." Until it all imploded and turned out he had no clue.

5 centers on the roster and no wing depth to speak of.

Maybe he'll put a rabbit out of his hat and surprise everyone, but sometimes when it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, what looks like incompetence and cluelessness ends up just being that in the end.

This was my claim. Before the fact.

I wanted you to then list the series in which he was good so we could decide how accurate my claim way.

this past playoffs was the first time I felt like the loss was "mostly" on Jo's play. Even in the series he played poorly prior he at least was a positive (generally on defense)...this recent run it felt like the team got worse at times when he played. The TOs aren't something I worry about as they generally came from him trying to do too much because his co-star was shook or non-existent. We got a 50 piece laid on our heads this past game 7 and he was feebly bricking shots. Thats a bad look and all on him IMO.

Does Joel Embiid know that in order to win a title he has to show up in the playoffs?

Forgetting about Harden for 4 games against the Celtics? 2 of those games being some of the worst playoff basketball an NBA superstar has ever produced?

All on Jo though, like wtf mang.

You do realize Jo was playing with a 6 week injury that he returned from in a week right?

You also realize that he played well for Game 3, 4, 5, and all but the 4th quarter in game 6.

Finally he played some of the best defense of his career in that series, despite playing on one leg.

Mostly on Jo...

Lavine is the guy. Send harden to clippers assets to bulls and Tobias to chi and Tucker to clips to one of the teams too.

Send 76ers Lavine and DeRozan .

No one is saying that. All I said was that he needs to be carried by a better player in the playoffs. And if he requests a trade, he'll be doing so for that reason.

Embiid's play in the playoffs has been almost without fail diminished by injuries and a lot of those occur from the lack of another legit big who fits next to him. That kind of player is rare at high levels, JJJ in Memphis is the prototype PF that can rebound, rim defend and hit from the perimeter, but a lesser version of that archetype would really help Jojo to pick his spots on defense especially with a team that is always allowing gobs of dribble penetration.

But it is also up to the team and Embiid to monitor and control his minutes and to play efficiently, the boringly effective plays add up and don't add injuries. Embiid is a basketball savant when it comes to learning moves and playing styles, get him some Tim Duncan tapes to binge this summer and let him play like the Fundamental Process and he will have better health and results come playoff time. Until then the always injured tag will be cast over his playoff performances the way t was once cast over his entire career.

Also he knows well he is effing with the media and public, but also reminding Morey and especially Harris that constantly avoiding the tax brackets during his time is not a pleasing thing to the big fellow.

Not even sure Embiid was necessarily eluding to him demanding a trade. "Or elsewhere" could mean down the road when he's 35. It could mean getting traded by the Sixers without demanding a trade.

Should Embiid have said that? Probably not. But things come out of your mouth when you converse. It's just the way it is. Though honestly, the fans kinda deserve the anxiety for hanging on every word of every athlete. It's unhealthy and unreasonable. When you do that, this is what you get.

If they trade Harden, LaVine is the most likely guy they end up with in return IMO.

However, they've made it obvious the first choice is bringing Harden back for another run.

Just a prank, bro!

If Embiid is trolling, why? He already trolled us all with his play in Games 6 and 7 versus Boston.

His lack of self-awareness is unreal. I love Embiid, but he must understand he is also to blame for our woes. A great regular season guy who fails to show up at the pointy end of the season.

We all know the history but that’s irrelevant here imo. It’s all about the fact that Embiid clearly folded under pressure & all he’s had to say afterward is “you can’t win a title alone”. He deserves to be roasted for that & he should be embarrassed to say it.

I mean yeah?

he was the one out there lethargically moping around in game 7, never taking it to the rim and settling for jumpers. I am sure he was hurt but if you are out there you can't fall back on that and if anything that was more of a reason to grind up the game instead of relying on your gimpy leg for contested jumpers.

I love Jo. I have defended him through a lot and I still think we can win it all with him. Him and Maxey are legit the only reasons I still even watch this squad and he is the reason I had a legit mental break down in game 6 lol. I want....hell need him to win it if only to justify me spending waaaaay too much time caring about a bunch of dudes playing a kids game lol. BUT this time he was a large part (not all mind you) of the reason we went home if only "just" in game 7. He has to hold that until proven otherwise IMO

Bottom line: We have royally screwed up the past 10 years. Bad drafting, trades, free agent signings, coaching and front office hires.

You can feel it on the verge of blowing up. Depressing.

which is why no one wants to play with him. Lillard specifically, replied to the tweet with a "huh?"

Did you see his next comment? Love this board and the Embiid hate.

Never let facts get in the way of a good story though.

I dont want a franchise player who goes tantrums on his own failure. Man up big guy

Given our track record of drafting Monteverde alums, I'm a bit hesitant to draft another one lol.
