- said Torrey Craig was also disappointed by Suns not offering anything to him other than the min.
- rated Booker and CP3 as great competitors and leaders. Both guys competed hard and felt they had a chance no matter who was on the other tea, which provided a mental edge to the other Suns players.
- deleted his twitter midseason as the criticism from NBA twitter was killing his confidence. So yeah players do read this stuff and care
- DA - good guy and teammate but struggled in Nuggets series, which probably ended up helping Jock get paid.

I think Jock got lucky with that contract since the Rockets had to spend their money on players to meet the minimum threshold and I would be extremely surprised if his option was picked up next season but hopefully he can surprise us and play at another level.

Suns were only going to be able to offer the minimum so next season don't expect most if any of our free agent signings to be with us next next season since they're going to be able to get bigger offers elsewhere.

I think he got lucky with the contract too, per Jock Rockets, Nets, Orlando and Cavs offered him more than the minimum but the way he put it I think the Rockets gave the best offer by far.

Jock was a really candid interview which is refreshing given most of the NBA fraternity are in the inner circle and won't say anything interesting that can even faintly rock the boat. Outside observers often provide the most accurate depictions

There's nothing to me that's scary in the West if we are healthy and at our best.

That's a brutal bench. 1 injury to a starter and the nuggets are in trouble.

Our ceiling on paper is very high. But there is still a lot to prove given there's so many new guys on the team.

Both Beal and KD have been pretty frequently injured also so we have our own concerns about staying healthy. Hopefully we have at least 2 out of 3 stars healthy at any given time during the regular season.

While true, I still like our chances better this season than last. GrandPaul injury in the playoffs has been like clocwork - even before he joined the us. And thats not mentioning his age and how he dropped off a 1000 feet cliff in his athletic abilities.

Yes, I definitely feel like we're being underrated as a byproduct of losing to the Nuggets and the Nuggets winning last year. But when you look at all the details the Nuggets got worse and we got better. I think pretty much all the new guys we signed are coming off like, relatively for their own level, career-best years.

Meanwhile the media/casual audience play to the trope of the champions being the team to beat. While that's true literally - champions come out with a target on their backs - it's not a tool you can use as part of some method of evaluation which in turn you want to use to make some prediction as to whether a team will be better or not. The only thing that matters when it comes to that is roster make up (including coaching).

On paper I believe we are better than them, as are the Celtics. But we will see if it's true eventually anyway.

The Nuggets will have to find a gem in the guys they drafted - which is exactly what they're trying to do as all guys they drafted have 3-4 years of college experience. And then also its a question of just how much Jokic (the best player in the league) is better than everybody else in the league (to make up for lost players in FA), and how good Murray actually is (because he's overshadowed by Jokic so much it's hard to evaluate his real level).

we are the best team forum on this site... I like to go check out others sometimes for certain information and we are like gods compared to those peasants...We have great conversations...for the most part...Alot of people here seem to be very well informed around these parts. The debates are always solid despite some people that just shout I KNOW BASKETBALL U DONT KNOW BASKETBALL!....But that just seems to be largely from the newer posters...

Its crazy that with such roster turnover there really isnt anything to talk about....

Cant wait til the regular season starts and our heated debates can start back up again....

And there will be soooooooooooooo much to talk about...

This is like the calm before the storm....

With all these new players **** gunna be crazy around here when we finally can get a pulse on them.

Losing Bruce Brown is huge for them I feel but the Nuggets fans seem to be pretty high on Christian Braun despite his limited minutes last season so maybe he can replace some of that lost output? For our sake I hope he's not the answer for the Nuggets. lol

I'm not worried about any teams right now. Just our squad.
Step 1: Stay healthy in the offseason. This is where, from time to time, as we've seen, some players from around the league take a serious offseason injury and are already done for the year.

I pray nothing pops up in the news that 'so and so tore their X ligament and are out for the season'.
Just get to camp healthy for now.

Eric Gordon, Deandre Ayton & Buddy Hield all here and warming up today. If they all play (and that’s the hope) it’ll likely be for a half like Hield the other day… #KUbball finale in Puerto Rico coming up in about 50 minutes.

His contract is a 1 year rental nothing more nothing less and from a team that HAD to spend.

Former No. 2 overall pick Jabari Parker has signed a one-year deal worth an estimated $2 million with Barcelona, @hoopshype has learned. Parker’s deal, which was negotiated by @PrioritySports, includes an NBA opt-out clause

So you're saying Ayton thinks he's above what everyone else has to do? Shocking, just shocking news here.

Return to Phoenix Suns
