I really liked Rachel Nichols on the Jump. The couple times I've seen her on PTI, I thought she was really quick with the banter and debating topics.

Maybe it's just skip though, but I don't like the pairing so doubt I'll ever watch it

Why does every female tv personality have to be commented about their looks?

I don't see people commenting Richard Sherman or Lil Wayne being handsome or not

Nichols does her research before player interviews and asks insightful questions, players get along well with her and open up.

When Brady enters the booth, people are going to comment on his looks.

No one is calling Skip "hot," but it's pretty common to hear that he looks great for his age.

Men and females who are thought to be attractive get comments about it

Women are supposed to be beautiful which is why majority of women spend hours getting ready doing makeup. Why they spend hundreds at the salon, getting nails done etc.

I wonder if watchers of these shows are a protected class. Like can we ask in a job interview if someone watches and if they say yes can we use that for grounds to not hire? I mean...it seems reasonable but smoking in some states is protected. I'd assume this falls under a mental illness, which maybe we can't base hiring and firing on?

nothing is wrong with watching any of these shows. its entertainment. some peopel watch other trash tv as in reality tv or what not.. or the same tv show over and over.

you have an issue, if you cant differentiate between entertainment and proper basketball analysis. not the people that watch and like first take or undisputed.

I really wish Skip Bayless was less popular and didn't have a career anymore. Call me "triggered" or whatever, but he is really a microcosm for how our media landscape has gotten so bad. He is somebody with zero integrity, has no convictions behind anything he says and only cares about saying outrageous things to get clicks and get people talking about him. You can come back at me "it's just sports, who cares?" And maybe that's true, but he is still extremely sleazy and even in sports, I prefer decent honest people.

I wished the WWE would go away the moment I found it was all fake, but it's only gotten bigger and bigger.

In a sense Stephen A Smith showed more courage by not going with another Max Kellerman or Shannon Sharpe/Richard Sherman type, but by bringing in people appropriate to yell about the subject at hand. It's very difficult for one person to speak intelligently about multiple players across multiple teams across multiple sports. You really need a crazy sports-a-holic for the role, but guess they make do with producers and show prep.

I'm more concerned people find this entertaining. Yes, I do think this is a valid question and would be a strong indicator of someone that will likely under preform in any role that requires critical thinking skills. Agree 100%. This style of "news" has caused serious damage to society. While I'd love to think it's just sports and it doesn't carry over elsewhere, it does. It feels crazy to link Skip and SAS to deaths in society, but their methods are being copied to incite violence outside of sports.

i don't have to work for ESPN to realize the hiring process for female hosts/reporters has a lot to do with how they look.

which i am not knocking them for, men like looking at pretty women and they know their audience is majority men...but let's not pretend that it's somehow off limits to realize whats happening here lol

i dont think it's wrong or right, it just what it is...ESPN realizes majority of their audience are men and men like looking at pretty women...so I get it, even though ideally speaking you'd want the best talent on how these females look is part of the equation until its not.
