I'm looking forward to seeing guys like Melton, Reed, and maybe McDaniel with a coach who understands how to maximize long athletic players.

They can't let McDaniels just go. Too much 2 way potential as a role player for a team that needs just that.

Seems like some players do not like Nurse, lol. I guess we don't have to worry about him being a "players coach".

To be fair, Canadians are the most sensitive crybabies in sports from my experience on here, so it's not surprising they'd rather sit at home than represent their country with a coach they don't like.

Nurse coaching the summer league squad, I like it especially with Springer and the other youngsters playing for him.

Glenn couldn't be bothered. Those 10am tee times are hard to come by.

This could turn out horrible with Nurse. He does not have any interest at all in a rebuilding team.

Yup. I was also thinking the same thing

I don't think this can ever be a rebuilding team. Even if they trade both Embiid and Harden, they will sign another max player and it's a 50 win team that loses in the second round of the playoffs. Or they will use picks they gain from trading Embiid to trade for someone really good. In any case, I do not see how this can become a rebuilding team as long as Maxey is here as the initial building block. But it seems to me that letting Shake go is a big mistake for that "blow it up" scenario because he could provide a very cheap 15-20 ppg with some assists.

We've been so spoiled by Embiid's greatness that we think it's easy to win 50 games now. It's not. In the 20 years before Embiid was drafted, the Sixers won 50 games in a season once.

It's not as simple as signing a max player, and signing a max player isn't simple to begin with.
