Stevens and Blake.

I think that it's Warren and Griffin, to the NBA Roster.
Not sure who it will be for the Two-Way.

Don’t think Warren is going to be healthy enough. We will see

If I had to guess who it will be, I'd say it's Blake for the 14th roster spot and we go into the season with an open spot.

I don't think we have an appealing enough role for most of the guys that are still out there. They're either younger and want minutes to develop (Garuba, Stevens, King) or older and want minutes to get their next nba contract (Wood, Warren, GR3, Oubre etc.). It's not really a ring chasing bunch but guys at an inflection point in their careers, where I think money/minutes will draw them elsewhere.

Blake on the other hand isn't likely fielding any other significant offers and would slide right back in for us. The locker room aspect I really think can't be understated given how big a shake up we had this summer. And the role as spot starter seemed to suit both parties excellently.

If I could have my pick of the litter it would be Woods or Garuba. I still want to see us add to our front-court and both of those guys would be good adds. Woods is clearly the most talented of everyone still hanging about but there's a reason he's still available and we might be better off going with less talent if it's less drama. Garuba I've always liked, solid lottery ticket.

If not those guys then give me one of the wings: Warren, GR3, Stevens. Can't hurt to have more wing depth.

I may have this wrong but I think if we were to add two players you'd have to be strategic about it to stay below the 2nd apron. I think signing two vets could potentially take us over because it's a different minimum amount.

If my math is correct, we've got $176.5 mil tied to the 13 guys currently on the roster. Plus the Demetrius Jackson cap hit takes it to $176,592,857.

Minimum contract for a player with 10+ yrs experience (to resign Blake) is projected to be $3,196,448 so if we resign him, the total for those 14 players (and Demetrius Jackson dead money) is $179,789,305 which is $3,010,695 below the 2nd apron of $182.8 mil.

So we could sign a guy to that 15th spot making under $3 mil. These are the projections for minimum contracts:

3 yrs experience (Stevens) = $2,092,354
9 yrs experience (Warren) = $2,905,861

Both Warren and Stevens fit under that, but Stevens fits under it more comfortably so we'd have a little bit more space and breather room under the 2nd apron..more flexibility for future moves.

We could sign Blake + any vet with under 10 yrs experience for that last roster spot and still be under 2nd apron - I think. So we just wouldn't be able to sign Blake AND Danny Green..there's been no rumors about Green coming here anyways, though..

They need an athletic wing more than a scorer so i agree.
Id be happy if they rounded out the roster with Stevens and Blake.
Blake is low key important to this team with the loss of Smart.

They will find a three point shooter, even if he can't defend a traffic cone.

Pretty sure they pro-rate the costs of those contracts for the team so older vets don’t get discriminated against for younger guys. Unless that’s changed. So I think the min guys all equate out to that smaller $2M number if I’m not mistaken. Trades might be a different story though for guys on longer min deals.

Did Svi sign anywhere? I was taking this week as maybe a nudge from the Boston FO for him to make up his mind already.

I’d hope for Javonte or Stevens and Blake. But figure they’ll only add one more, and I’d hope it’s more of a wing than big.

I haven't heard anything official.

Last 3 updates I have heard about him:

-Not coming to Boston
-Miami is showing interest in him
-He's getting closer to signing with that Greek team that wanted to sign him..

It will be someone other than the candidates discussed so far. Your guess is as good as mine. Wish it were Garuba.
