The fact that you can't even understand or won't understand the analogy I was using shows you're choosing to be ignorant and unwilling to accept my argument for what it is. See the post I just wrote before yours.

Norm is better than trent. It just is what it is. Not sure why people need to keep trying to prove otherwise. Was it a fair trade? Sure. Considering all the fleecings that happen for star players it's about as even as it gets in terms of trade value. But like I said keeping norm probably gets probably another playoff season... and the chemistry was already there, there would've been no weird tension with norm, fvv and siakam because they all came up together, and all were rooting for each other so that chemistry could've allowed all of them to succeed together.

That being said the core was flawed to begin with because no true star, so it doesn't matter at the end of the day.

So you agree it's a fair trade? That was my only original point. You just like debating sh*t for apparently no reason. At no point did i say trent was better. Do better reading peoples posts.

Like I said, you're the one that sounds triggered. You realize you're not the only one posting in this thread about norm right and that other people have said other things. Read the original post you replied to and stop being so upset.

No one said trent is better than norm and really no one on here is discounting how polished an offensive player norm is. So again not sure what your point is

Powell is the better player if you can handle the tunnel vision, but on this team I'd take GTJ for the chance he improves and because we're likely trying to get rid of our 30 yr old vets anyway (and Powell has no trade value).

If Kawhi and PG magically are healthy this year and the Clippers are the contender they are capable of being, then Norm is better for them than Gary would be. But sure, at this age if Gary does improve his all round game then he is better for the Raptors over the next few years. Hopefully.

The thing with Gary is that it is a big if because he's largely been the same player his entire career evencwith increased volume. His fg% and 3p% actually decreased a bit with more volume.

Again, my expectations for him and his success as a player is largely defined by his ability to be more efficient. Move without the ball, work at your catch and shoot game and become a 40% shooter from 3. Thats it. Keep it simple. Don't want him trying to hijack the offense.

Ron Harper was in the latest BlackOps run featuring Trae Young and Donovan Mitchell.

This must be the quietest year we have had with Raptors news during the offseason in a while, or about their training. Hopefully they're all doing some top secret training and come back better players.

Apparently the Westbrook at Rico Runs vid is going to drop tomorrow, which means Raptors will be featured in that (cause there was a clip of Westbrook posting up Nowell at the Rico Runs a while back).

Video uploaded. Not a single Raptor featured in it.

SMH. I swear Rico is gatekeeping these Raptors runs out of spite.

Weird, I just checked out his Youtube channel and his latest vid is still the one with Rozier, Pascal, Jabari Smith etc.

If you really understood what I was writing and understood the point I was trying to make there would be no reason for you to even post.

Don't say no one is discounting norms skills when certain people in this thread have already done so. And a bunch of other people have posted in terms of piinting out reasons as to why norm is better than gtj so clearly there's a reason this is being discussed. Again of course as with most arguments this is about me and not about the argument itself since you failed to address any of those other posts.

Norm is 30 years old and is very injury prone. He misses about 20-30 games a season.

I love Norm and while he is currently better than Gary the gap isn't really that large. Further, Gary is only 24 years and was easily better than Norm at the same age. Norm at 24 years old averaged 5.5ppg on 40%fg and 29%3fg while Gary averaged 17ppg on 43%fg and 37% 3fg.

Very deceptive of you to selectively only discuss Norm's corner shooting, lol.

Norm is a career 38.6% 3 point shooter which is very, very good.

Gary is a career 38.4% 3 point shooter which is pretty much the same.

I mean even the training videos that are posted show what? 5 minutes of training and usually only highlights of them making nice plays? It doesn't really give much indication of how they really have improved.

These guys put hours and hours in the gym with specialized personal trainers and there are plenty of private runs that are not filmed.

It's for the best, really. Any tidbit of news is like feeding potassium to someone on dialysis.

Wish we see some Jakob summer 3s or something (15 lbs of muscle perhaps). Almost zero talk of that guy, which makes sense as he's such a stabilizing force, but I'll take stories of him chasing chickens at this point.

What else do we really get in the offseason though? It seems par for the course tbh. I think the social media age has just made us more desperate for footage but I don't recall there being that much more happening in past offseasons other than the same Rico runs and FIBA tournament stuff.

Going back to valanciunas days and even bargnani days I only remember FIBA highlights and then pics of them in the gym gaining 10 pounds of muscle.

Maybe I just had the perception that we were getting more videos in the last few years. The season is only a month away from starting anyway.

Here is the latest Rico Runs. There are a couple of Raptors like Dick, Nowell, and Dowtin who participated.

I hope this isn’t the extent of Scottie’s off-season training and competition
