buck hates this team so much lol

the manager and front office all need to be canned but the front office won't fire the manager since that would put their jobs at risk and rogers won't fire shapiro since he's overseeing their stadium reno (and atkins would be included in that package)

Every man has his breaking point. Watching this team all year long finally broke the old man.

So you pull a dominant Kikuchi early so you can get more high leverage time for Richards and then use all of your remaining high leverage RPs in a likely loss.

Genius level stuff from this manager.

At least with Montoyo, we all knew he was just a glorified babysitter for the Spanish speaking players. No one expected much from him. But John Schneider thinks and acts as though he is a "serious" Baseball Manager. Dont think ive ever disliked a Manager more in my 20 years watching this team. And we had Buck Martinez as a manager once lmao.

Or Davis at 2B, and Horwitz at DH.
Maybe with the day off yesterday JS did not want to make that move and waits until tomorrow.. but I have my serious doubts.

This team needs to have the bat of Horowitz in the lineup, and not the bench. If that means Merrifield is on the bench, so be it. He has been below average for 5 weeks now.

I hate to make light of a guy getting injured, but this is another example of Baseball players being some of the most unatheltic "athletes" in the world. Guy looks like he tore a hamstring or something worse just running to cover a base, because its something Pitchers hardly ever do. So many baseball players are in such awful shape that they get major injuries performing normal actions. This is on MLB as a league for continuing to allow this to happen.

Interesting choice to bring in Heineman to PR in the 7th for Kirk -- I was waffling on the move, think I would have stuck with Kirk in the game given the C spot would still need to come back up this game.

Also now that Varsho is out of that game, their is no option to PH for Heineman.

I've been harping on dudes like kirk needing to lose weight but tbh that looked like a freak accident. Let's not forget one of the most athletic dudes, known for being in great shape, tore is acl Fielding a bunt or something.

It's gonna burn us in the 9th for sure. Still, probably had to do it.

I'm not sure if Heineman touched 3rd there .... that being said, JS made the right call to bring in the pinch runner there. No way Kirk scores there.
