Buddy Hield could drop into that 6th man role pretty seamlessly. He's played more games on average than Malcolm, on average, and maybe is a bit more ... spotty? ... on offense, but when he has it going there are few players in the league that are more dangerous.

The big trades now, likely involving multiple teams would be Brogdon for either Hield or Herro. I don't think this is the type of trade Brad would do, as it would mean more pick assets included, and next year is a major opportunity for better trades if Embiid, Giannis are made available.

Definitely seems on the block though. My guess is that he will be moved, and not by deadline, but by end of training camp if not before.

Hield is the only player that makes me think he will be moved by the end of camp, unless he openly holds out on the team.

If he puts his head down and plays, it'll probably be around the deadline

That's $20 mil in dead salary. I understand he was hurt and harder to move, but holding onto him this long and finding out he's quitting on the team is Morey-esque level of arrogance

I hope/think it wouldn't come to that though, and that he'll play until he's moved. Brogdon has his next contract to think about too, quitting on the team wouldn't be a great look for him

Yeah I was a big fan of bringing him in, and he was somewhat better even than I’d expected.

He also breezed in and immediately started talking about all his “sacrifice” and casually dropped that he wasn’t going to be a big stat padder the way he had been previously.

I’d be fine if they moved him but he’s oddly the best fit around for what they need at the moment.

Probably more like disappointed with realistic expectations than hate. His injury history led everyone to believe he would be out at some point during last year. We just didn't need it to be late in the playoffs.

Not a fan of his surprisingly subpar defense (could be a product of being new to the system) and his penchant to overdribble (could be remedied by the coach tbh with better role definition) but he fits into what we need and it would be hard to get someone of his calibre in return esp if his injury is worse than is being portrayed by Brad.

I do think he gets moved if we don't win in June moreso for financial reasons (JB's extension kicks in next season).
