If they can flip Jrue for something that even remotely resembles and asset its not terrible.

Edit: Its still terrible, but not Miami package terrible.

Where’s JRoy

Jrue is a lot better than OG and has more trade value.

He’s also 33 years old and has hinted at possibly retiring older. No chance his value was higher than OG

yes it is, Idk what you to want to hear but OG is an expiring. Jrue at worst is worth same 2 first picks from a contender as OG.

They also got Ayton while getting of Nurkic contract.

Can't say I'm surprised. Bobby Is one of the worst GMs in the league never rely on that dude to get anything done.

they're still an old team.....clock is ticking for them, this is just a last hail marry for another championship.

this could easily increase the chance of Giannis leaving.

They traded a 33 year old for a 33 year old. they increased their ceiling without getting any older

the point is they're still old....of course they still got 1-2 seasons of championship runs. It's not going to be a 5 year dynasty though.

Compared to OG/Grady and crap or Herro and crap it's much better. Ayton is underrated and could show out with a change of scenary, certainly an upgrade on Nurkic. And Jrue will fetch some assets. They made out just fine

You realize Ayton’s contract is even worse right?

I absolutely love Jrue. One of my 5 favorite players in the league. But his value isn’t as insane as you’re suggesting

The Trent plus futures package is rightly all we should have offered, and beats this trade unless Jrue has more trade value juice in him.

I’m so confused…did Blazers really choose Ayton over OG? or did Masai not even offer the Blazers OG?

Glad this is over and honestly I’m happy. Just my opinion, but I think Masai walked away about including Dick. Didn’t want Dame anyway. lol heat fans.

Jrue is also an expiring and has already said he's retiring at the end of his current deal.

I don’t think they need a dynasty to convince Giannis to stay though. Even a 2-3 window of being at the top will get him to stay

was clear Ayton was key to getting this done and that Miami couldn’t work out an offer that made sense for PDX

didn’t see Bucks coming in and beating a TOR offer…seems like Masai just didn’t want to get it done? clearly he could have beat that offer from Bucks

can’t go into the season with roster as is, need to deal Siakam to ATL now

The Suns were shopping Ayton all summer because nobody wants his awful contract. Getting off Nurk to get onto Ayton is hardly a win lol. Jrue is 33 hinted at retiring and much of his value comes on defense which won't age as gracefully. Not sure what they can get for him but idk if it's more than firsts + salary filler.

The odd thing is I think the Heat were planning on getting Dame to try and then get Giannis.

Well, things change as we all can see.
