The starting SG spot needs to be filled with the best defender possible imo.

Marjon is the guy for me. Need to see him take that spot.

2023 Shaq and Kobe. Having Middleton as a 3rd option just seems like the board finally manifested what we’ve all said for a decade now. Dame (damn) this feels so good.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

This board got tipped off last week by an insider, who deserves significant props. You guys can all figure out which poster it was.

Is Lillard the best player we've ever brought in via trade?

They brought in Oscar Robertson via trade back in the day. That would still be #1 but Dame is easily 2nd.

Plenty reasonable to believe he preferred playing here vs Toronto too.

Reasonable to suspect he made that known to Masai as well.

Raptors offer OG this deal doesn't happen.

Good thing the Raps continue to overvalue a guy who stars show is terrible at everything on offense besides corner threes.

Nah, he would steal minutes from AJJ and Marjon.

Yea no way AJJ is going to start, maybe Pat starts initially then hopefully Marjon earns it.

MarJon makes a lot of sense to me. All he needs to do is to focus on defense and use his length, hustle, and passion. A lot of offense with the other four guys, and it's not like Marjon cant score when the defense cheats on him. Give him the confidence to make a leap that there is a realistic chance of.

I think Horst did a good job on the value he gave up here, keeping MarJon, AJJ, & the Portland Pick are all good work by him. That said it feels like in 3-4 years when we are judging this trade it'll either look amazing or awful with little in between

Ehh, We could lose in the first round with Dame injured or win 3 championships....
Or we have 3 straight years of ECF runs with Dame aging like Steph.....
Or we could win 1 ring but Giannis and Dame age gracefully....
Or we win 1 ring thanks to Dame but Giannis leaves as Dame breaks down as he ages.....
Or Giannis demands a trade next offseason and we get 10 firsts for Giannis and Dame.....

I know it's unlikely, but I'd love to see Dre take the spot by seasons end. Would be that perimeter defender & connective tissue guy on offense. On paper his profile fits really well

Well I remember during the Giannis rookie season when we went 15-67 as the clearly worst team in the league some people here were saying that this wasn't that bad overall so I can imagine what you've gone through in the pre-Giannis era.

I was just making fun of rilamann and a couple of other posters here who can't handle their emotions and can't think clearly for 95% of the season.

Giving Marjon the first chance at it makes the most sense. If he fails then you try the others. Pat is probably in the closing lineups anyways.

Curious what contrarian take Gery had on twitter. Not surprised (agreeing with Butler they may have tampered). What a hack. Although he gives the ownership credit.

Read on Twitter

Must've gotten hack......

But also, how off-base do people look with all the bitching about our owners being cheap. There was very little evidence to show we were in total cost-savings mode except for not signing PJ which looks like more and more like it was they (probably bud) didn't want a aging, non-scoring 6'5" PF back on a long contract. It turned out to be an idiotic move but I don't think it was really ever about the money but more the player/age.
