Or a Poelt lite

When was the last time that the Celts had 4 7'0+ players available to them. Porzingis, Kornet, Queta and now Kelly (available to some degree)? I think between Porzingis, Horford, Queta and Kornet, we should be good if we play a one big lineup against most teams and two big against the Embiids and Giannis of the league. Also, let Horford take off back to backs and bring in Queta for those games.

Just watched some Queta’s highlights from the gleague, and i think he can be usefull to us. Like a mitchell robinson type of player. Definitely can be used to protect the paint and use his fouls against the likes of embiid and giannis. Also you can’t teach height and length, and having 7 footers does help.

I sort of thought our retool might be something like brown, timelord, 3 1sts for embiid when he finally wants out. Could be as soon as the deadline. If the Harden saga blows up the sixers, I'd def swap Brown and embiid. Timelord would've given them a nice youngish center prospect though. We don't have one of those anymore.

Going two posts in a row... but the other thought I had is now that we're blowing past the 2nd apron and traded Bob we def should've just matched the grant williams offer. Hindsight is 20-20 of course, but a young solid contributer at the 4 that can play 5 in a pinch would be immensely valuable to the current roster.

Holiday - white - brown - Tatum - porzingis
Pritchard, horford, Grant... and the rest. Nice top 8. You could also start Grant and save White a a backup PG/wing.

The continuity would be more of a factor too with Smart, rob, brogdon all traded away...

Yeah not keeping grant is a mistake but as you said hindsight; I understand why it happened but with jrue and the 2nd apron behind us it would’ve been awesome. Mostly just for the trade-able salary spot for me tbh; not so much the player. We could’ve traded for a 17-18 mil player with Pritchard and grant at the deadline but oth I think it was not purely money moves. Brogdon, smart and grant were the least supportive of mazzula it seems. Now I don’t buy that they would’ve shipped them all out purely because of that but it probably could’ve been a tie breaker in decision making

In a perfect world; where we had grant and the clippers had a miserable start; we could’ve traded with some picks for zubac

I think they honored Grant's request of wanting to play elsewhere esp after we acquired Porzingis. He knew his already limited role will shrink even more (esp had we kept Rob). KP/Horf/Timelord/Tatum would've covered all the PF/C minutes. Cs probably did the math and thought they could get someone cheaper for that role. Elevate Hauser if they wanted to replace the shooting lost. Play Stevens/Brissett/Gabriel for hustle/defense/boxing out.

My question is why didn't they just keep Bullock (and the unprotected swap) for themselves? Bullock could've been used for matching purposes. So maybe there really was an initial plan of staying under the 2nd apron.

In a way, they honored Pritchard's request too by clearing the logjam at guard. Instead of being clearly behind three guards, he's now just behind two and has a chance at more playing time now.

I didn't hear it myself, but someone here posted that those guys were talking about how they heard Brogdan needs tommy-john surgery and his injury is worse than the Cs are letting on?

Then we trade him and his physicals are fine.

Absolute clown show it is from 2-6.

If we trade Pritchard and sign a vet min guy instead, will we be under the 2nd tax apron??

If embiid legit wanted out, that package would be a mad overpay. Let someone give them an all nba player plus plus plus

Per spotrac, Cs are $3.5M above super tax apron. They’re only gonna save 2M by replacing PP with a vet. Just safe to assume we’re a 2nd apron team from here on out.

Hopefully there's no problem with those physicals out in Portland.

not sure anyone who shoots 40% from 3 in the nba stinks. very limited player, but that alone is hugely valuable. and he was a good positional defender. i like that we got more athletic but we will miss his skill. tbh i was getting a bit tired of his yapping swagger tho, kinda unearned.

Lol are you serious? If Embiid wanted out and all Sixers wanted was Jaylen Brown, Brad does that trade in his sleep.

On 3 attempts per game, the difference between 40% and 30% is 0.9 points per game. It's not nothing but also far from hugely valuable. His replacement can easily exceed that contribution by grabbing one offensive more rebound or preventing the other team from doing so, for example. Or making one more stop on defense than Grant who was 45th percentile on defensive on/off last season and 8th the year before.
