I think horst was playing the mystery game and keeping it as tight lipped as possible. . Maybe didn't also want to risk a locker room issue if it didn't go through.

It's tough Jrue saying he wants to be a buck for life and he's mentally there and gets traded right after making that declaration.

I reckon this makes sense. I think Horst wanted a little people as possible to know to prevent any possibility of the deal getting nixed or gazumped.

Too bad Jrue only circled one of the five games against the Heat in the playoffs.

Jrue is a good dude and so was Budenholzer, it sucks they essentially lost their jobs because Giannis got hurt game 1 of the playoffs last season but its a business and they weren’t without fault. I’m over it and far more excited about our future with our new acquisition than I am hanged up on what our ex is doing. Thanks for the memories bye!

Even him, a guy that makes use of analytics and makes videos every week about the NBA didn't know how much Jrue's efficiency drops in the playoffs or how much of a turnover machine can be as a point guard. He seemed genuinely surprised when he found out and had to put it on his video.

Same thought occurred to me with Lauren Holiday's post. But thought about it and the Holidays walk the walk, so they can't be faulted for talking the talk.

At the same time, nobody here or anywhere else is talking about the human cost of the trade w/r/t Nassir Little or Grayson Allen. Doesn't make it less real.

What we talking about? We talking about practice? We talking about practice. Practice, man. We talking about practice.

Coach Nick's tendency to always downplay Giannis and the Bucks even during the 2021 champ run made me realize his shortcomings in terms of analytics. Oh and the fact that he clearly favours the Celtics more just turns me off.

Lauren Holiday just described High School basketball in her post. I really wish them the best and Jrue is a Milwaukee legend forever and I hope by some magical twist he plays out his last year(s) here or something as a vet... But kids have to move/change schools ALL THE TIME because of many reasons... It's going to be OKAY.

I just can't muster up any sympathy. Not with that player, not with that sport.

It does seem like last year was the first time Jrue really started getting his due. Of course then he makes an all star team and I believe Windhorst and a few other national guys thought he was the weakest selection. Now he is more important than Dame. What a world.

An odd by-product of the player empowerment era

What are the rules on this? Has he played for France at all? Can he switch? I think I remember reading Messi was tricked into into being bound to Argentina for the WC

I'd change my mind if he was trying to throw us under the bus in public or pulling a Harden. But he isn't (that I've seen). IMO I'll let him be. He's not a Buck anymore anyways - it's Dame time.

I fully agree with you. Except that Jrue is still a Buck in my book. I’ll never look at him and see him as not a Milwaukee Buck. Just feel like he belongs here. I think he feels the same, which is why he is so hurt.

Confirmed RIP to Embiid's 2024-25 season. Dude can't even get through 70-80 combined RS/PS games without breaking his body. Can only imagine the wear & tear he's going to accumulate playing Olympic ball immediately after the postseason.

I know choosing your non-birth team for the Olympics has been done for years, but come on, what are we doing here?

Giannis did say he's from Milwaukee Wisconsin in that brat video. Maybe he's joining USA too. :reporter:

Do you think part of this trade with jrue was because of his contract cause if he declines his PO next year hes looking at a 4/ 250 more than dames getting n 1 year longer

Well, he's not *really* going to play in these Olympics, to be fair.

Yeah, I would even be cool with it if it wasn't for the French team stuff. Just has the college football transfer portal feel for it.
