I wouldn’t do it because they added Dame and are legit contenders but damn would it be fun to sell all the vets, and surround Victor with AJJ, Marjon, Green, and TyTy. Most fun 30 win team in history. Keep Bobby around as the vet and enforcer.

And he's 7'4 with guard-like skills and the wingspan on a condor.

Wemby makes me want to watch Spurs games. It's fairly insane the things he's doing. I don't even know how you deal with him, he's a cheat code.

My only concern is his strength or ability to survive long term at that height. We have seen very talented super tall skinny guys get hurt and not be able to survive the NBA grind on their bodies long term. (not comparing their games, but Yao Ming, Shawn Bradley, Porzingas). Not long ago Porzingas was a unicorn everyone wanted and Giannis was intriguing. None had the hype at the level of Wemby or the awe like skills, but they had similar height and injuries took their toll.

Does he become a GOAT or have a short peak and fade away due to knee and foot issues after a few years.

Jason Timpf whom I've seen his videos linked to a few times around here did his power rankings and he has Milwaukee at 2 and Boston at 3, but during his Celtics video said he thinks Boston will have the best record in the East with relative ease, he said they'll win the East by at least 5 games. A lot of that was based on what the reasonable expectations for each team health-wise is and he also mentioned Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser as guys that can help you win games in the regular season (the playoffs are a whole other issue with those two). One thing that he only briefly touched on but will probably matter a lot more than a lot of the other stuff is that Tatum and Brown need to shoot a good bit better than they did last season from outside or they're going to lose some games they have no business losing especially since I expect their interior defense to be a decent bit worse.

Overall, I'd probably agree with him on Boston being the favorite for the 1 seed (although I don't think it'll be as easy as he thinks) but the Bucks being a series favorite between the 2 teams.

Even with all of the craziness Memphis still finished 2nd in the West last season. But now Ja's going to miss a little less than 1/3 of the season, you're probably not going to get Brandon Clarke back until the start of 2024 and now you've lost Adams. Unless JJJ is a borderline MVP candidate during Ja's suspension I gotta think this team is probably going to be in the play-in mix.

Sucks about Adams
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

With Adams gone who is likely to fill in? Tillman or Aldama?

If they get the surgery right then Adams should come back okay.

I mean, if Brook can come back from back issues at 46 years old, I'm sure Adams can come back fine as well if the surgery hits the right spot.

its looking like the Knicks are not going to get an extension done with Quickley.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

The raptors game thread is going to be 40 pages by the time their opening game starts if they've started it already! They are keen over there.
