If Poole is fairly efficient most games—and getting to
the FT line—I don’t think who pull him simply because he’s having a bad shooting game.
He’s easily the Zards best offensive player and we’re gonna have to live with the ups and downs.
The problem is the tone you're setting when you let him miss shot after shot with no penalty. It's the type of basketball I thought the Wizards were trying to move away from.
He's 19-60 in the preseason. That can't continue.
The Wizards playing ISO ball was never problem or the reason for our struggles. The overall lack of talent & depth of scoring options has been the main problem. We didn't dump Beal because of his shot selection. We dumped him because of his salary, his injury history and he wasn't getting any younger. I have no problem with Poole getting shots up, someone absolutely has to and he's one of the few guys on the roster with enough skills to create his own opportunities. Worrying about preseason fg% is silly as vets often use these minutes to work on their games and experiment.
