From being completely out of it to back in the mix. The teams in middle of the nfc all kinda stink so we have a shot.

Yeah. I like that he is 6’2 as well. I always prefer bigger corners in the secondary.

His 40 time crazy to.

I thought Hawkins (another big corner) had a pretty good game too. Washington probably biggest strength outside of there dline is there WR core and I thought we held up pretty good there. Obviously it helps when our dline is getting pressure.

But corner is probably the most difficult position outside of QB to play as a rookie. And I think Banks is handling himself really well. He has that swag you want as a corner.

And I think you can tell early if a corner has it or not. Like the ability to stay close to your man and track the ball is a really tough skill and not easily developed...Banks has some really good ball skills and like you says has the size/speed combo you dream about for a boundary corner.

crazy if we got that call in Buffalo to go our way and won that game...we would be right in it...our schedule isn't impossible before the bye

Jets
@Raiders
@Cowboys
@Commanders
Patriots

then Bye

can we go 4-1 in that stretch, with the way our defense is playing and hopefully getting some guys back? Cowboys is probably the only game I would feel like we would need a miracle to win.

NFL ups and downs. Defense looked solid for a while. Would be great if we improve through the season would give me hope as a fan again.

You're going to start that stretch with a loss to the Jets. So...3-2 if you lose to the Cowboys! 8-)

Miami is got exposed tonight

We need to look at the Eagles as a model for what we need to do. They have Defensive line depth to rotate multiple players in and out, and a steady offensive line. We are nowhere near where we need to be.

most likely. I think both teams will be conservative and not try to turn it over with the way both defenses are playing recently.

The Jets defense has been good all year. They also beat or were close against top of the league teams. They also played better against the Cowboys than the Giants did. I like our OL better. Zach has been making fewer mistakes of late as well. The Jets could have one or more wins this season with better QB play. I think overall they are the better team. That's not saying much though.

It's Washington, who we always beat, so I'm not gonna say the season is saved or that this a good team but I'll give Daboll and co. credit. This was the best coached game of the season. The OL is still a mess but the gameplan didn't seem to require complicated or long routes and Tyrod did a great job of making quick decisions. And we even sprinkled some deep plays to Hyatt, who had some sick catches, and got Waller involved too. Kind of embarrassing it took 7 games to get the first TD of the first half but whatever. Saquon was alright. Of course he got hurt again. He annoys me. But give Tyrod his flowers. Rock solid vet who doesn't hurt you. Did a great job of making quick decisions and buying some time out of the pocket a few times too.

Commanders have an even worse OL then we do and Wink attacked it. Leonard Williams finally showed up. Love Banks effort on McLaurin! He got burned in the second half but it's a great learning experience and Banks will be better.

Special Teams are a mess. Schoen needs to find some guy on a practice squad who can simply field punts. We've had like 3 or 4 muffed punts already!

Next week should be fun!

This isn't a pissing contest. This is a team sport.

I'd honestly say Jones and Tyrod are on the same tier but there are two major differences. Age and contract. Zero chance we ever go with Tyrod over Jones unless he really **** the bed. But Jones is not durable anyway. Tyrod will start some games late in the season.

Sorry i missed this yesterday :lol:

Listen, I'm happy either way. I think having better OL play + Barkley helps a lot regardless of who is back there, but Tyrod has been an absolute professional and has been solid these last two weeks. I also give Daboll credit for getting the offense on a better wave length, but I was concerned by what I saw in that 2nd half. The protection was just awful and the offense looked like it did when Danny was back there without Barkley to keep the defense on their toes. We only mustered up 14 points...i have a bad feeling about next weekend.

The defense however, was going nuts yesterday.

Yeah i don't see this as anything at all other than our back up QB, who is probably one of the best back ups in the league, coming in and keeping the ship steady. I think Danny will be a lot better once AT is back out there to cover his blind side, and we can shift Pugh to another position of need, but I can't say anything for Danny if he goes out there and doesn't move the ball the way that Taylor has. It will be a sh*t show

I would agree I think the Jets are more talented. And there defense has played better...but the Giants defense is hot. They have dominated 2 weeks in a row...so they will get after Zach Wilson. If we can shot down Breece we have a chance.

Also getting back Andrew Thomas will be huge because you have a huge advantage with your dline vs our oline. But I think it will be a close game.
