From B Robb...

Banton ($1 million) and Mykhailiuk ($1.1 million) will see a bigger chunk of their minimum contract become fully guaranteed upon making the opening night roster. Those contracts wouldn’t become fully guaranteed until January 10th, and the same goes for Kornet and Stevens.

Barring a surprise name becoming available on the waiver wire later Monday, the Celtics are also expected to begin the season on Wednesday night with one roster spot open. This will allow the front office the option to make an uneven player trade during the season without making a roster cut as well as additional flexibility to add depth if injuries arise.

If our starting 6 + PP + Hauser remains, the real question is who will be our 9th man this game?? Unless Joe goes 8 deep... which really wouldn't surprise me.

And before someone says Kornet, I say why?? KP = 30 minutes + 28 for Horford covers the center spot + 10 for some Double Big matchups.

I think Banton or Brisset gets it, but I actually would prefer Stevens.... With a full roster of ball needy scorers shooters, we can hide One junkyard Dog in the lineup. I like Stevens more than Brissett in that role.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Not sure if you're basing those minutes on my suggestion. Or if you think that will actually happen. I would love it, but just don't see Stevens playing that much. And no banton and Brisset...

But if true then I would guess the second half they go with the top eight

That’s exactly how it would happen. I can see the future. I am Zoyastradamus. Bow before me.

Not bad - I'll allow it.

With Robinson, Randle, Hartenstein and Sims this is a big team. Can’t be shy about rolling out the bigs for the opener.

With Robinson, Randle, Hartenstein and Sims this is a big team. Can’t be shy about rolling out the bigs for the opener.

Sims might not see the floor in games where they have everyone healthy. Sims played exactly 0 mins for them in the playoffs last year.

With everyone healthy, they're likely rolling with a starting 5 of randle/brunson/robinson/barrett and either grimes or Hart. Then off the bench either Grimes or Hart, Quickley, Divencenzo and Hartenstein.

I don't see anyone playing besides those 9 guys when they have everyone healthy. So that's only 2 bigs (Randle is more of a forward) and a bunch of guards/wings.

Randle has been a tough guy for us to match up with in the past. He went off that one game on opening night but we didn't have Horford (COVID protocols). I feel like Al can D him up pretty good and I would also like to see Lamar in there for a few mins when Al is resting to defend Randle. Lamar has also had some success defending Brunson, as we see here on the first play:

Grimes pretty sure is the starter there. And agree on the front court, but they will have to be ready on the boards against Randle/Robinson.

I've been feeling a little apathetic about sports but I'm surprisingly pumped for this one.

I rather not reveal such details as they might be used for evil, like gambling your entire bank account then using the earnings to build an exotic animal park ala The Tiger King.

Very true - forget that I asked! I wasn't considering that consequences of such knowledge. Can you at least share with us who wins the game (unless it's not the C's)?
