Superstar leaving talks works really well for national media because it only pisses off the 1 fan base, the other 29 eat it up and take pleasure in that teams/fans problem.

It's been so extreme with Giannis that some bucks fans might have achieved a rare trait and actually have some empathy when it happens to other fan bases. Some, most others will just laugh and make up some fake trades.

Now Booker is "50/50" to play tonight. I'm sure they really are both dinged up but the league making an effort to push back against load management only for Booker and Beal to immediately miss the opener would be a little funny.

Obviously not load management in game 1 but that sucks.

Forgot that Heat lost Gabe Vincent and Strus. Glanced at their roster. Spoelstra can't drag this team to the playoffs. No way. Corpse of Lowry and Love, Bam is fine and Jimmy obviously. Herro is whatever. Then it's just mediocrity.

Vincent will be the big loss I think. Between the signing of Josh Richardson and a very NBA-ready rookie in Jamie Jacquez they should be able to largely replace Strus. But Vincent was really good last year, especially in the playoffs. Where those losses will really kill them is when Butler is out. Last year they were 9-9 in games he missed. If he plays an identical number of games, it obviously depends on who they play, but my initial inclination would be that they go 5-13 in games he misses.

Bobby Marks is getting some crap in the Giannis extension thread but whatever you think of what he said in that video it pales in comparison to his pick of the Knicks winning the East

Some guys like Marks just like to be contrarians to get attention/clicks. If they're wrong they just move on to the next bad take. If they're right (rarely) they crow about it.

There are a few posters on here that must have spent a fair bit of time studying these methods.

Miami is actually relying on Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, and Kevin Love to give them legit rotation minutes. That says all you need to know about how badly they whiffed the offseason. They can puff their chests out and posture about last season's improbable Finals run all they want, but they're not legit contenders unless they can swing a big trade before the deadline.

As a bitter Bucks fans, I'm still saying 95 out of 100 simulations we come out ahead in that series. All 5 that we lose would have Giannis injured.

Honest question the fact that games 4 n 5 we had double digits leads in the 4th quater only to sh.. on ourselves n giannis misses 13 FTs in game 5.We should of won that series without giannis.
Guess what im asking is did we really lose that series because giannis was hurt cause to me we just sucked in 4 if those games

Both. He sucked because he was hurt.

The big leads were due to running Midds/Brooks PnR. Then in the 4th they went back to injured Giannis driving into a wall and Jrue taking step back threes while the corpse of Lowry dominated him defensively and Butler destroyed him offensively.

They lost that series because Giannis was hurt, Jrue was worse than Playoff Bledsoe, and Bud did a bunch of stuff wrong (letting them get away from Midds/Brook, letting Jrue stay on Jimmy instead of Wes or Giannis, taking Brook off the floor before the lob to Jimmy in game five, not calling a timeout with one second left)

What yoyr saying sounds very familiar to the game 2 the only bucks win.Brooks dominated bam on the inside scored at will.Yet never went back to it after that game i never understood that.Only coach i ever knew that would never go back to something that was working in fact would stop doing it period never understood that

I wonder how close Johnny Davis is to being waived outright. He’d be a great 2 way contract player. He has lost all of his confidence, I’d imagine being closer to his family would be a huge boost to his career.

That is precisely why you sneaky load manage game 1. No one will expect it.

I haven't been following the Wizards preseason machinations, but I saw him play a few times at the end of the season when Washington was sitting everyone and I didn't think he was terrible.

I’d take literally any human with a pulse on a two way over both Wigginton and Bolden.
