Re: FFDL League Thread - 2022-2023
Can I also point out that people seem to be making a much bigger thing out of a second round pick being used late (waiver wire player), than they did when East sat half his team for six months and ended up being able to draft Karl-Anthony Towns?
For the record, I would like to reverse the pick and watch the mad scramble for the second coming of Scott Adams but I don't like the precedent and think the rule should stand as is.

This is also probably a good time to remind people tanking is prohibited. Rosters most be set for everyday.
Since the draft isn't officially over, are we sticking to this day/time?
The draft is officially over now.
Sticking with that time 11:00 EDT (it will appear as 10:00 for me since it thinks I am in the central time zone).
Note that there is a time stamp on add/drops so if someone picks up someone early everyone can tell.
Bumping this since it was at the bottom of the page.

Draft is over. Free agents can be picked up.
Have fun, good luck and let's be careful out there.

You had him sitting on the bench instead of playing him despite having an available position to play him. No tank is an original rule. That means can not sit players instead of playing them.

I had a great team and was going for the championship and even became the champion, so there's no way I was tanking.
On top of that your data seems to be wrong, wherever you are getting it from. Here's November 19:

January 11-12 and February 11 are wrong as well

If I don't set a line up, it's usually due to other obligations, or I set a lineup in advance, then make a FA/waiver move and then not reset my line up. I have never purposefully tanked. There are the rare occasions I purposefully sit a player on a Sunday to possibly win a TO or % match up.

I'm gonna ask you guys to find a replacement for my team.
I think I already did my good part offering to reverse the Lillard/Wemby pick in the beginning (which was quite a huge deal tbh) and now this Aldama thing..
Nothing personal against anyone, I just don't see a good long term fit. Which, being a dynasty, is key.
Sorry for the trouble.

It is usually not this intense. I was hoping you an Sabonis would have a nasty rivalry going and things would get ugly.

I understand that. What I really want to prevent is like when east didn't set his lineup for 3 months but still got to pick Karl Anthony Townes. Especially since he already had a very strong team. Even I made the naughty list last year. It's probably what kept me out of the play offs.

I do agree it's almost never intense. And I wouldn't even call this incident intense. It was just something done against logic/rules and I wanted to point it out, to keep the integrity/fairness of the league.

I think if the team is already making the playoffs or competing for it, I don't think anything should be done against not setting up lineups.
It should be blatant that a team is tanking, in order to punish them.

Re: FFDL League Thread - 2022-2023
i havent tanked, but i've definitely forgotten to set lineups. Now that the lineup setter can set a week at a time it happens much less often. I do try to win every matchup, my team simply isnt very good these last few years.
However, I do think it's still bad not to set your lineup in the regular season no matter what position your team is in. It can be unfair to the opponent who faced you when you were trying who is now at a make-the-playoffs disadvantage against the opponent who is playing you while you are not setting lineups.
If people ever see me not setting my lineup feel free to call me out here. I might just need a nudge. Sometimes stuff is going on in life.
