Its not complicated.

To us, it's not complicated.

But to Jaylen, it's very confusing, to say the least.

JB decision making kills me but I have to give him credit. He was task with defending Brunson and help hold Brunson to 6-21. JB’s length definitely bothered Brunson.

It's weird seeing Tatum as the Consolation. But, very Welcomed.

Boston starting 5 is incredible and Horford is solid but PP, Kornet and Houser isn't a very good bench and I don't know how anyone can think otherwise.

give it time. not forever but at least a few games. Pritch especially has one job to do, he has to do it. I know neither snip3r got many shots but they would have if they were making any.

PP and Houser are what they are. They will be productive one game and struggle the next. The bench needs more consistent players.

I can imagine it. Both JT and KP free and Trae jacking it from 32 feet then watching his man waltz past him to the basket.

I have a number of issues with JB, but he is far better than Trae and he will have better games than tonight.

You’re out your mind if you think JB is better than Trae, think you may be one of the only people that thinks that. JB could never lead a team to the ECF. You’re forgetting that JB is a chucker at times as well. Trae is a much more willing passer than Jaylen, he’s just forced into the first option role.

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

I’d love to move White or Holiday to the bench and play Horford with the starters. I think moving Holiday is getting too cute and just move the lesser player in White. But the holdup there is the lack of another center. Starting Horford/KP creates the need for a better backup center than Kornet once you go to line up the rotations.

Get a Mason Plumlee type in here mid season or some other compatible talent level of player and I’m totally on board with bringing a guard off the bench.

Speaking of, it's still crazy to me NY paid Donte Divincenzo 4/44M to come off the bench for 15 minutes.

True.

That's why I'd rather have JB than Trae.

JB may need to adjust not being the second option because Zinger is now the second option IMO. I did notice he barely touched the ball in the 4th quarter.

It's not about ability, it's about the player as a whole.

Sure Trae is a better offensive player than JB, but Trae is an absolute defensive liability.

KP as the 2nd option is a good thing.

What's frustrating about JB is his mistakes are mistakes that are made by kids still learning how to play basketball.

The entry into Jrue or the one in the back court? Sad I have to ask and they were back to back with magnifies them, but Jrue had some terrible turnovers himself tonight. Felt like I was watching Smart out there in a lot of ways lol.

Jrue has done it at the highest level, NBA finals and Team USA, so it's just a matter of time when Jrue gets comfortable with the Celts.

True. If any of the starters needed more time to adjust it was JB and we all knew it so why be surprised. The only thing I’ll add is his biggest critics will point out decision making is a big part of “offense”. With this team it’s not just the decision, but the quickness of those decisions that could make us unguardable.

Eh, I actually get it. They seemed poised to make a multi player trade (with picks) for a star type player at some point in the next few seasons. What looks like surplus now will likely get thinned out in that process.

We’re a perfect example. Look at Grant Williams. He was going to be our 8th guy and finding minutes to justify his contract looked iffy on paper. Then we did a 2 for 1 trade and now if he were here he’d have a pretty key rotational role. 2nd apron consideration were an impact as well so not exactly the same, but you get the idea I’m sure.

Knicks have enough depth where they can did a consolidation trade and still have good playoff rotation depth. Signing a guy like DDV helps with that, and especially with the new CBA making it much easier to sign those types before you acquire high priced stars compared to basically impossible to do it after.

Seeing Tatum play off a person who has a different game than him is going to be HUGE this season.

He and Kristaps 2 man game is special. Very special.

IMO Kristaps is easily going to be the number 2 on offense for this team this season.

Unlike previous seasons, this current Celts team is comparable to that of the 2008 Celts.

Hopefully luck will be on our side this season.

Brad is a genius.
This team's margin for error, like stated by other here, is crazy good.
KP is a unicorn. Tatum looks like one of the top 3 players in the league.
White and Jrue are two pitbulls on defense.

I am not too worried about Jaylen on offense, as I believe he will figure it out.
It does take time to build chemistry.
But his bad decisions on team defense are too costly.
Maybe he is just following orders from Mazzula to stay in the paint, I really don't know, but too many times he over helped and left shooters wide open.

Jaylen had 11 potential assists last night, I thought he made a real effort to move the ball. He’s just not the best at processing plays, so the offense is kind of clunky when he is creating for others.

I think the team is much better off using Jaylen as an attacker/scorer, and I’d be pretty surprised if that’s not the case most of the season. But as far as people saying he played selfish last night? I didn’t see that at all.

solid win on the road as the C's almost let it slip away....Zinger wins it tonight, Tatum gets a puff. I would like to see Jrue bring the ball up the court more often as the C's ball movement was subpar, def need to get a better chemistry on both ends. Also Mr cement in his shoes ( Kornet ) can go, we need another 5 ASAP!

Yeah, JB didn't play selfish.

It was his decision making that almost cost the Cs a win.

He threw a stupid pass that resulted in a Knicks 3 then fouled on a corner 3 that went in.

In a matter of seconds the tie game turned into a 6-point lead for NY with 4 minutes remaining.

Last season the Cs would have lost this game.

It would be nice if the Cs can replace Kornet with Olynyk.
