I understand why Oubre is out there, but Lillard is just driving by him like he''s a traffic cone lol

The sixers havent been great defensively . Alot of missed rotations, confusion on who defends who and bad fouls.

He has been in the top 5 drawing FTs forever now

Yeah but he's just whistle-hunting on most of his takes. Used to be more explosive and try to slither around guys. Not complaining, just didn't realize that was such a central part of his game now.
'
EDIT: he also had 3 x's as many FTs tonight as his career average per game. He's not usually that FT dependent.

I'm leaving this game feeling more encouraged about this team. Harden is a loser for leaving his brothers hanging

It's why I don't think the Bucks upgraded with the Holiday trade (in the playoffs). Their perimeter defense took a nosedive and will be exploited by the Celtics in the playoffs. Plus, the foul flailing won't work nearly as well as even Embiid has seen.

If Melton was shooting shots like that we could have made it to the ECF

The same marginal contact on Embiid drive was the same marginal contact on Lillard drive.

It's a lucky shot that went in somehow. He still can not shoot under pressure.

Something to think about..
- events that lead to that collapse in the 5 minute mark. For sure, basketball is a game of runs but we just rolled over.
- down the stretch we had Kelly Oubre on Lillard. Its gonna be tricky how we deal having Oubre and Maxey down the stretch. But I kind of believe we’re looking at Oubre as an improved defender

Tucker: 25 minutes, 0 points
Green: 13 minutes, 0 points
Beverley: 13 minutes, 2 points

Joel Embiid is a proven loser, but Nick Nurse is a dope for playing these trash vets and getting NOTHING out of them. What's the difference between he and Doc Rivers, if this is the case?

I'm taking it out on the refs in game 1, which is how I know this is going to be long, frustrating season.

I dont think Harden would have made that big of a difference. But its nice to have 4 20pt scorers on the team.

Hoping for a "marginal contact" call that reverses the foul and gives us the ball like the Bucks were gifted earlier.

Tough loss. Biid playing hero ball in crunch time did us in again. On a positive note, Springer was impressive, Oubre balled out offensively and Maxey may have taken the next step. This may be a fun team to watch amidst all the Harden drama.

Simple note for next game is that Maxey getting a DHO into another pn'r is a MUCH better end-of-game action than Embiid isos.
