They were legit a couple of years ago. Last year they mostly rode shooting variance and injury luck to the finals.

They're good, and if you take them lightly they'll make you pay for it, but they aren't a top 5 team in the league.

I'm all about results. Miami continues to get results, until they stop doing that I'm not gonna downplay them personally.

JV team? That's a laughable comment. They've got a top 10 player in the league (butler), 2 all-stars (butler, Bam), and 3 guys who average 20 points a game (butler, bam, herro). A PG who has won a ring. A big man who's won a ring (Love). Dru smith is a guy most have never heard of but Pritchard isn't really doing anything out there so Dru Smith is doing as much as Pritchard is..

And they have the best coach in the league.

We should know by now to not underrate Miami because of their roster. They are always dangerous, they always play us tough. As long as they still have Butler, Bam and Spo, they are legit eastern conference contenders.

They used essentially this same roster to beat the Heat, Bucks and Celtics in the playoffs. And essentially this same roster was the 1 seed in the east in 2022, got to the ECF, and essentially this same roster got to the NBA finals in 2020.
