Could have pick like 26 and 31 in this years draft. might be able to move up off that if there is someone you really like

It's still amazing Portland didn't insist they get that pick back in the Dame deal.

its insane what the bucks DIDNT give up for Dame. I was almost certain they'd want that 2024 2nd and Marjon atleast.

Anyway, here's hoping AJJ can be that guy in March and beyond

We need a perimeter defender to stop Brown/Herro

I think AJJ could give them fits and Marjon could stay in front of them.

Beasily, yeah they’ll light him up. Even Brook was lighting up Beasily’s D last night.

Beasily? I’m guessing that’s not a typo

That, and the fact the we kept both Marjon and Bobby.

Can’t believe we still have so many decent trade chips/moveable pieces after trading for a player of that caliber.

Maybe Portland gets that SPR after all. What about Pat + POR 2024 SRP + useless expiring (RoLo?) for Timelord?

I know that there are health concerns with Williams and he is not a perfect fit for Giannis. But Brook is only getting older and Bobby’s time at C in the playoffs against Embiid/Jokic/Porzingis/Bam etc will be ugly. I would prefer having another tough body for these assignments instead of throwing Giannis there.

Why would Bobby's time on Embiid be ugly, 1 game after he just was our best Embiid defender?

Bobby was fine defensively the year Brook was out, when Bud let him hedge screens instead of playing the deep drop. Yeah Bobby is no rim protector, but he can move for a big and he's strong.

The only three against the Sixers that Brook had that was contested was contested by Beasily.

If the move is Caruso, then it has to be Pat instead of Bobby. Because otherwise you’re signing up for giving RoLo meaningful minutes.

Plus, if you get Caruso, even if you put him in the LAL plan and only play him 20mpg, those are basically Pat’s minutes. You’re not playing those two together.

Dame and Giannis aren’t signing off on Pat C for Caruso

And who would have thought a week ago they would let Stotts go with Dame on board? Beside Dame and Giannis everything is on the table.

Pat + second for Thybulle

  • almost identical contracts
  • proven fit next to Lillard
  • we get the wing defender we need
  • they get a better floor spacer next to Scoot
  • fwiw, we were reportedly interested in Thybulle last season

Wouldn’t it make more sense for it to be Bobby instead of Pat?

I actually think this roster is really really well constructed. Lots of shooting, sprinkled in some more youthful upside and I don’t even mind Robin to be a goon enforcer for 6 fouls a game if needed.

I think I’d just hold and see what the first quarter of the season looks like. Caveat being the two ways, not a huge fan there.
