Man ... Pritch absolutely Quarterbacked the hell outta that second unit.

That's the best I've ever seen him play as a point guard.

I’ll say it once again, don’t be surprised if our passing numbers and assist numbers are a little lower than expected this season. Tatum is creating mismatches every time he touches the ball, whether for himself or others. Anytime him and Porzingis run action together, the defense immediately goes into scramble mode, which had led to wide open shots for everybody. Tatum included btw, who has never gotten so many clean looks from three.

Passing is amazing, but overpassing is a thing. If you can attack a mismatch after one or two passes? Do it lol. We have the personnel for a cook em offense, obviously you still need to make the right play, but it’s impossible for the defense to stop everything.

I’m kinda allergic to the mismatch-hunting iso strategy of years past. Didn’t really get us anywhere once we faced smarter defenses. Key difference this season, other than more space to work with, is players making quick moves. Not much dribble dancing or playing around with the ball, allowing the defense to recover. We’ve also not used the post as much as we’re doing now.

What’s the record for a player involved in 50 point wins? Tatum has 3 I think I saw? Crazy

I don’t entirely disagree, and I think this team is able to switch is up. While the ball movement may be down, I feel like off ball action is way up. Which helps explain the absolutely ridiculous amount of open shots for everyone.

Aesthetically, Tatum posting up from the three point line is legitimately hilarious.

Listening to todays Locked On Celtics and Karalis made the point that Tatum was single covered on all his baskets last night. Incredible that we have so much talent that teams can't double JT. This teams about to break the league.

That wouldn't happen last season because Smart's defender would play Free Safety because they would gamble on Smart not making the 3-point shot.

And if Rob Williams is playing with Tatum, Rob's defender would also leave Rob open, if Rob is outside the paint, and become a secondary defender to whoever has the ball for the Cs.

I've spent years hoping I could use a word like "cerebral" with respect to the Celtics, without being sarcastic or ironic.
But that's what they have the ability to develop.

Sure, ten passes and constant movement can lead to great looks. But so too can being way the **** better than your opposition and being smart about where you attack. So if you don't need to pass pass pass pass cut cut cut cut pass pass pass? Lol: don't.

When was the last time the Celtics blew out a team by 50 pts? It was just before Derrick White trade as the team was beginning to play at elite level. They beat a Kings team featuring Halliburton and a young bench big named Neemias Queta 128-75.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I was kind of scared (especially with Ben Sullivan gone) coming into this season that perhaps his shooting would regress back to career averages (around 34% career from 3 prior to last season).

Good to see that's not happening.

He's looked excellent so far this season - shooting included.

It was a fair concern, but at least early on we're seeing spacing have a much bigger impact on results than any assistant coach could ever hope to. It's a long season, but I trust our spacing will remain excellent all year with the personnel we can throw out there.

Bucks also lost to the lowly Raptors. Life is good.

Need to double-tap the Heat, please.

Maybe I'm too optimistic but I'd like to think it might cut back on the turnovers when things get tight too. Feel like they lost the ball way too much trying to do all those passes. A smaller amount of smart passing sounds safer.
