Yeah. I can’t imagine leaving the city I’ve lived in basically my entire adult life, going through a divorce from my college sweetheart, and starting a new job so to speak. My body language would not be 100% chipper all the time.

Would his body language be the same if he was in Miami? I doubt it. It’s early, but this has a Gary Payton feel to it

I hadnt thought about this before but are Dame and GP buddies? Both Oakland guys so I'm sure there's at least some acquaintance. GP isn't exactly the best ambassador for Milwaukee.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Dame is going to be fine hollllllly. Just changed franchises for the first time in his career while dealing with a divorce and losing Stotts who was helping make the transition easier. The guy is going to be stressed. Multiple quotes of him saying he wanted to come here once they realized Miami wasn't a possibility.

regardless of the outcome, we may be headed for some significant roster changes at some point in the next season plus.

Theoretically, Dame, Giannis and Khris is really all the offense anyone should need. So would it make sense to part with basically anyone else who can't contribute defensively to supplement that?

This presser is more encouraging than the AG one.

he's just happy to be the first guy off the bench and be a real contributor again.

in all honesty, though, i was encouraged by Dame's presser as well. very thoughtful responses.

Hopefully AG's serious about listening to feedback because Brook was visibly frustrated by what was going on on defense and adjusting how we use him should be the easiest change to make.

Win the tournament, then trade Giannis and Dame and tank.

I’m pretty confident Crowder as a player/coach would be better than AG, and that’s accounting for him gameplanning ten threes per game for himself.

There’s legit low hanging fruit that would save AG’s job instantly. He just seems to be oblivious.

Insert anyone into the starting lineup in place of Beasily. Keep Brook near the rim on D. You can switch everything else but Brook can’t hedge 25 feet from the rim. He doesn’t have to drop as drastically as Bud had him but he can’t get caught beyond the three point line. Have shooters in the corners to provide spacing. Those shooters can start cutting if they’ve made some threes so the opponent will be closing out too hard. Spam any combo of horns, PnR, inverted PnR, and Spain, with Dame/Giannis when they are on the floor together. If teams are leaving someone open who isn’t hitting their shots, that person should set off ball screens to get others open or sit that person and put professional shooter AJ Green out there.

If I can figure these things out just based on watching games with zero film study then the dick head they hired to be head coach should be able to as well.

But I just can't bring myself to jumping on the panic train after 4 games. I've been following the NBA for a long time and I've seen it so many times where a team with a new coach or new player (We have both) struggles and looks bad out of the gates and then 20-30 games into the season starts clicking and they go on a great run.

A recent example was the 2022 Celtics. New coach, looked terrible and they were struggling to stay above .500 into late January. Then things clicked and they went on a run that lasted all the way to game 6 of the NBA Finals. The 2001 Bucks started 3-9 and were a Big Dog jumper from playing in the NBA Finals.

The optics look really bad at the moment, but I am going to give it a bit more time.
After reading this I fully don't agree and I'm ready to appoint Bango as coach

Tyler Ford is officiating. He's terrible. James Williams is the crew chief.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I guess a silver lining is we are 11th in ORTG while being 29th in assist to turnover and featuring vet min Malik Beasley on offense.

Punting Beasley and giving AJJ 20+ minutes a night isn't going to fix everything, but it probably buys Griff a fair bit of time.

Great summary and exactly why the “it’s only # games” stuff doesn’t work for me, this is all stuff that should’ve been happening game 1.

You could maybe excuse the Hawks game as just a horrible night, but after the Raps game, legit zero excuses to not change things up in the way you described. If we get merked again the same way a 3rd time in 5 games I wonder if Horst actually does start to look around. I’m glad this is on ESPN too, the spotlight is fully on them.
