It would take 2 seasons for Scottie offense to improve to this level. But what did the front office do to prepare the roster for this point in time? Wasted time and assets while not surrounding him with better pieces.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

i am really happy for scottie. it's probably the first time he has one of these insane game and the team came out with a W.
Off the top of my head I remember the lakers game last year, and the sixers game in the playoff where he played his heart out.

there's some good celebrations in there from teammates. you can just see who was in the moment engaged. Koloko knew Sochan was going on the poster once Scottie got him deep into the post.

if he gets 20/10/6 for the season... i am sure he would be MIP.

It’s gonna be really tough to beat Maxey.

Not only is he gonna explode with his scoring numbers, the media narrative is already biased that way with Harden’s departure, meanwhile our team barely exists in the minds of US media. I think it would/will literally take Pascal being traded fairly soon & Scottie averaging like 23+ppg because I think Maxey is gonna near the mid 20s or more unless PHI does in fact trade those picks for Zach or one of our guys.

Yes, most of the league's awards are won on naratives that are set in during pre-reason and first month of the season. So Maxey is way ahead on that regard based on all the Harden talk going in but Scottie is helping himself a lot with his hot start.

that being said, i honestly dont think scottie can sustain this kind of stats. It's almost too much to ask of him. until he gets starts getting the star calls and get some freebies, he's not offensively polished enough right now to average 23+.

Conventional thinking often was that if Scottie with all his tools can just shoot 33%-35% from three he'd be on a sure path to stardom. If 37-39% is legit then its going to be curtains for the rest of the league.

Scary hours :o

Its really hard to average 23+ in this league, especially when the offense isn't entirely optimized for you. Doing so with the 'phonebooth' spacing the raptors have is going to be next to impossible.

His rebounds, assists, blocks and steals are kind of him though.

I think at this point a season of 21 PPG, 8.5 Rebounds, 6 Assists seems like it might be in the cards.

But tbh what's striking is the consistency, he hasn't had a 40 point night one night and a 10 point night the other. 18-20 points might be his baseline now.

He is the answer to the question of what Ben Simmons would be with a reliable jumper

In addition to his outrageous percentages, Scottie has been adding tons of steals and blocks. His numbers are actually absurd right now.

We can start by trading Pascal for some prospects and picks. And then Yak.

Flynn is growing on me a bit.
He's actually been playable as of late.
But what's really earned him bonus points is the way he celebrates for his teammates on and off the court. It builds team chemistry.
For example - look at Trent on the sidelines whenever Scottie hit those big shots. Guy was dead, emotionless. Like man, I get it! You wanna be out there in crunch time but can you be happy for your teammate?
I will say thought, the vibes on the bench have been somewhat better this season compared to last year (s/o Temple and Schroder).

Nah you dont get good players that way, it never works out for any team, best to keep "building from the mid".

Yea watching this video I was really paying attention to the team/bench celebrations during Scottie's run. Flynn is super engaged but I like seeing just how happy a vet like Garrett Temple is for him

the FO, was still competing with the Nurse/FVV/Pascal core until it was proven it was broken

it still wouldn't have been nearly enough even if scottie played at his current level last season. Fred isn't that much better than schroder. In fact, i'd say Schroder has been a better player this season.
