He better be the starting pg in the East and it's not even close imo.

It's the Anthony Davis redemption tour.
Health is always a matter.
But if healthy.
The man has seen all of Giannis, Jokic, Embiid win.
Win the accolades he was supposed to win.
The "next great big man" who hasn't performed to the expectations. Who has seen others take what it should be his.
So I'll pick AD. For his motivation. For the fire i believe it has been set inside him.
I consider Giannis and Jokic better players than him. I think that Embiid is on the same level.
But this isn't an award for the best player.
It's an award for the regular season MVP.
AD has the motive. AD is the one that has to prove that he can lead a team.
If he does that with LeBron as a sidekick...this award can be his. Because he will have the narrative.
Did u see what i posted itt about Hali yesterday?Infinite Llamas wrote:Everyone knows I’m team Jokic but man, Hali doesn’t get talked about enough. One of my favorite players to watch in the league.
Hali has been much better than Dame this season. He's got a legit MVP case in the early goings of the seasonSpecial_Puppy wrote:jokeboy86 wrote:Infinite Llamas wrote:Everyone knows I’m team Jokic but man, Hali doesn’t get talked about enough. One of my favorite players to watch in the league.

Dame?

First of all, Embiid had an LCL sprain, not an MCL sprain. Secondly, this information is useless without knowing the severity of the sprain. Nice try though.
Grade 2: Knee injuries are considered moderate. You have a partial tear in your LCL. For a grade 2 injury, you’ll need to use crutches and then a hinged knee brace. Recovery will take about eight to 12 weeks.

Embid's was grade 2, which is basically 8 to 12 weeks according to the cleveland clinic. It was an LCL you were right, but all the reporting was that he would not be playing for a while if it was the regular season.
I love how everyone likes to **** on him for his playoff performance, but the dude is a warrior, and plays through injuries that many players sit out on.

I didn't sneak anything. I noted you were right that it was an LCL. That is the issue of the tweeter and not me.Demagoog wrote:eyeatoma wrote:Demagoog wrote:First of all, Embiid had an LCL sprain, not an MCL sprain. 1. You tried sneaking in Embiid into Plumlee's injury while they didn't even have the same injury, and thus provided false information.
2. You don't know the severity of Plumlee's injury, thereby making any comparison a hypothesis by default.
3. Considered =/= definitive. Nobody has ever come out to communicate the severity of Embiid's injury, thus making this another hypothesis.
4. Considered more serious than grade 1 =/= grade 2.
So yes, it was a nice try. A failed try, but a nice one nonetheless. I wish you well in attempting to drive home some nonexistent point about Embiid and gorgeous resume of playoff shortcomings. Maybe one day you will succeed. But in the meantime:

tears can be a result of the same movements that cause a sprain, however, a tear is a more serious injury.

"Is considered to be worse than a Grade 1" =/= Grade 2 sprain
Language matters. "Confirmed as Grade 2 sprain" or something of the like would help your argument.
Also, SPRAIN vs. TEAR.

You said he had a SPRAIN, the article you're linking speaks of TEARS.

A warrior?
Games missed since 2016-2017 including playoffs:
Embiid: 170
Giannis: 74
Jokic: 39
IF Embiid could remain relatively healthy and in the lineup, he's be one of the top handful of centers of the 21st Century. But, he's averaged 57 games played per year during his entire career. He's even missed 8 playoff games since 2016-2017, out of 61 the 76ers have played.
Jokic has never missed a playoff game in his career. Not one. 68 for 68.
Giannis has missed only 5 out of 84 playoff games in his entire career with the Bucks.
Embiid is tremendous, but he's made of glass. The only more fragile and unreliable ATG center I can think of is Bill Walton, honestly.
