He’s more or less same as last year but perhaps more talent around him now? I don’t know about Houston but so far they’re winning games even with Jalen Green being trash

so we have less talent than the team w the worst record last year?

Yeah it’s possible. Green, Brooks, Sengun, Thompson, Jabari, Boban, Aaron Holiday. Perhaps if Siakam didn’t suck so much lately the scales in our favour but right now Scottie/Yak/OG/Dennis are really the only guys to count on.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

He is a great coach when he has talent. He doesn't make lesser players any better.

If your team constantly needs to make lesser players better maybe you should get some talent on that team lol

Not the coach's job. The coach's job is to maximize the players he is given.

Are we saying he didn't? Cause he did to a fault almost. Look at last years roster and tell me they should've had a higher offensive rating than 12th.

I feel like Scottie benefits from it as well. When you play as much competitive online games as these dudes you run into every situation imaginable. Stuff like having the foresight to call timeout after the steal with 1 second left is likely bc he’s been in that scenario so many times during gameplay

That team won like 20 games last year though. They were an awful team. They desperately needed a point guard and you can see the difference in how they play. They are playing good basketball. Still think they are just a play-in type team but that’s a significant improvement from last year and pretty good for a young, inexperienced team.

I can't even imagine going from coaching our team to a Maxey/Embiid team. **** I would've left too lmao

They have the 2nd best Net Rating right now and a top 2 offense. The Maxey/Embiid combo is flat out ridiculous right now.

The difference between Nurse and Doc is night and day. Nurse really squeezed out as much as he could out of this roster. Don’t like how he handled himself last year but good for him going to a team with some talent. Lol.

Made Norm, Pascal and Fred a lot better. People thought Casey was a great development coach but he hasn’t done anything in Detroit. Head coaches don’t really have a huge role in player development. There are a variety of factors involved.

I think we are seeing now that Nurse had nothing to work with because Darko isn’t doing much with these guys either.

The gap between KPJ and Fred is massive. Just having serious pros like Dillon and Fred is making a difference for them. Plus Sengun has played stellar ball.

Yes, we are saying he didn't. Look at Malachi in tonight's game. No reason he couldn't have played like this last year if he had a different coach.

How can you say that? Malachi is way better this year simply because Darko gave him a long leash. Development coaches do not control the leash.

New coach, organic growth, and new additions. All of the aforementioned.
