I’m not too sold on trading DLo for Lavine (I’ve seen some talks and rumors) unless such a trade yields Caruso. The gamble of this is banking on LeBron and Reaves doing more on-ball without tiring out and being run into the ground. Obviously you’re getting an amazing play finisher at the perimeter, but I don’t know how Lavine himself elevates the Lakers ceiling. Now Caruso being involved makes things interesting - as him and Davis can be a two man army on defense.
None of this is with thinking about feasibility and financial implications of trade btw. More or less a rambling

DLo is an important locker room presence and is cool with not closing games. And of all places to maximize him in his career it's this situation. RJ and Channing turned the locker room around to bring the Cavs together if you remember the stories from back then. DLo seemingly has a great effect here as well.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Not sure how old the Lakers have convinced themselves that some player like cam reddish is fit to play nine straight minutes to start a game. Rui has been looking really good and should be getting these minutes and when Gabe Vincent comes back and Jared Vanderbilt comes back, Reddish should be out of the rotation.
Also, if Taurean prince is not going to make three pointers, he doesn’t need to start — put Rui Hachimura in there.

How is Christian Wood featured so little in the offense? That is coaching malpractice, scoring is what he's good at

I like Rui, I get why reddish has been playing though he’s even good as of late, has dumb plays and great ones as well
I get why they want Rui being a first guy off the bench type guy rather than with the starters first but he should finish games

Prince is a 6'7 forward averaging 1.9 rebounds in 30 mpg...

Lebron looks really good, but the team as a whole is meh. Just not enough consistency across the roster

Taurean Prince makes Cam Reddish look like Scottie Pippen. I'm not sure they could afford to lose Reddish's defense. They're already completely unathletic on the perimeter.

How has Pelinka had 5 years to build around LeBron and done a bad job every time?

Cam, Bron, and Dlo were the only three guys to show up tonight.
Kings are a great offense and play with blistering pace. That said, losing boils down to AR/AD not coming remotely close to Kevin Huerter and Sabonis.

I get we want AR to learn through experience but god his playmaking is rough

They'll get better soon, both individually and as a team they underperform badly right now.
But there's no upside for Lakers to become real contenders, they're too old (LeBron and AD, unfortunately) and young (coaching, streaky depth of younger players) at the same time. It's so chaotic, lol, in this moment.

He was involved plenty I thought. Especially in the third damn near every possession started with a screen and him spacing then flowed into another screen by Hayes/Rui. Just cause we're not dumping it down to him every possession doesn't mean he's not involved.
