He's starting to look a little tired to me...

Plus I think he has to adjust to new defensive schemes
Yeah could be.

Embiid has made 37 straight FT's.

Also didn't notice any dribble hand offs for Maxey...

As for Springer, he's really fun to watch. Great to watch an athletic team out there. Oubre is missed for sure.

If they make a trade, he may save some draft capital if included

If we get 19/4/8/2 from Maxey on an off night where we win by 10 I'm good with that.

it felt like one of those last year Tobias games in which his stats look good but it didn't feel impactful.

I was out tonight and didn't watch the game, but I did do a double-take when I saw Tobi's stat line and his -4 plus/minus (in a 10 point win). That's hard to come by.

Nonetheless, he continues to play like the player I believe him to be: nowhere near worth his contract, which was an abomination, but also nowhere near the bum that some here have made him out to be. He's an extremely capable player, just not the #2 scorer on a title contender-- and maybe not even the #3 scorer. My main worry these days is that he's playing for a new contract and he'll price Philly out of the equation. If he'll take a home team discount next year (while staying healthy) it would be a huge win for the Sixers.

My feeling as well. Easily the dullest game so far this season, but a W nonetheless.

Fun to see Springer getting extended minutes, the kid definitely makes things happen without scoring.

Springer needs to learn that not all of his attempts inside needs to be a dunk. He lost 4 points today because he did not want to just lay it up.

I think Oubre and Batum not being able to suit up forced us to play heavy PnR like last year.

I hear you and you're right, but I don't believe you can rely on Joel to get you an efficient 30 and be low turnovers vs top defenses. To be more clear, I don't believe that of Joel , Tyrese consistently, and I don't think you can rely on 20 from Tobias. They REQUIRE more shooting and play-making... Oubre is a good scorer, not reliable shooter, and Batum will give you spacing, but I don't trust him for points. You also have to see the outlook for winning past this season. Relying on free agency reduces your opportunity to build out the roster with premium talent and it's a great chance neither of those guys are on the roster next year. This year's team would need some great fortune to win a title. Could they make a conference finals? Possibly. Could Maxey be all NBA? Probably... Should that be the goal in the MVPS year 29 season when you have the assets available to become title favorites with a championship level coach?

I know Morey and Joel want a title

Great bounce back win. Was a bit afraid of this one.
Tobias continues his strong start to the season. He has probably been our most consistent, efficient and aggressive player so far.

D. House should be getting Morris's minutes, some of Cov's too, even though Roco has been great this game. Made some shots, got offensive rebounds and deflections.

Overall, great to get back on track on the W column. Let's finish the weekend strong with a W tomorrow too.

I just don't like Tobias, I think he is a kind of player who gives off an impression of being really useful in the regular season, but he does not at all contribute to winning playoff basketball. I think we'd be better off without him in the playoffs. I mean Kelly Oubre comes in on a minimum contract and is instantly better than Tobias. And I would bet he will be a more impactful playoff contributor. Tobias just gives me strong playoff choker vibes that can be backed up by data from his performances in the second round. We don't need a player like that, it's like settling for a relationship that's "good enough" because you're afraid of what's out there haha.

Jalen Johnson is sooooo good. Been clamoring for him the last two years while he was on the bench getting no burn. Now it's too late because the Hawks know that he's trending towards being their best player.

But you also can't make major sacrifices to the other side of the ball in the process, which makes things more difficult.

I think OG would be a great additive piece to what we have right now, making us a better, more versatile defensive team, as well as improving the team's shooting.

You still would need to find another playmaker if he's the move.

Finding a guy that provides playmaking, shooting and defense all in one package is probably out of their price range.

4th game in 6 nights, double digit win on the road against a low level playoff team. It’s been pretty consistently good efforts from this group so far.
